Financial Literacy will LEAD to OUR INDEPENDENCE!
Funded Feb 2, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donation of a laptop. My students have been using it daily to to improve their financial literacy/budgeting skills as well as researching information on how to seek employment.
Due to limited availability of technology in our school, this has been one of the most amazing gifts my students could have received. So we are truly grateful to all of you generous donors that have afforded us with a laptop so that my students can have access to a computer at any time.”

We Want to be Financially Literate and Independent
Funded May 24, 2012Thank you so much for your generous donation of a laptop. My students have been using it daily to to improve their financial literacy skills through interactive games as well as researching information on the stock market and seeking employment.
Due to limited availability of technology in our school, my students only have access to the schools' mobile laptops once a week. So we are truly grateful to all of you generous donors that have afforded us with a laptop so that my students can have access to a computer at any time.”

The granola bars, fruit snacks, chips and crackers have helped keep my students stay focused on their daily lessons. My students no longer tell me their starving because we now have a mid-morning snack. These snacks fuel my students minds and they are so energized and motivated to learn. I have seen great improvement in their attention and scores.

Wii Want to Stay Healthy
Funded Sep 12, 2011I can't begin to thank you enough for your generous donation to my classroom. The Wii controllers, Wii Party and Wii Fit Plus games have kept my students moving. This has made exercising so much fun for my students. They are frequently asking when they will be able to play with the Wii again. My students are not only learning how to stay healthy through exercise, but they are also improving their turn taking skills and how to socialize and support one another.
Thanks to generous companies like SONIC Drive-In, my students will not be another statistic in the increasing struggle against childhood obesity.”

Learning to Clean-Part 2

My students are learning how to clean classrooms and offices in our school, which they are also able to apply these skills at home. I have seen my students take such pride in their work upon completion of cleaning a classroom.

Funded Sep 12, 2011I can't begin to thank you enough for your generous donation to my classroom. The measuring cups, bakeware set, pots and pans have helped my students in so many ways. We are now learning how to cook and bake. My students are learning how to bake a cake and cook simple recipes such as scrambled eggs. My students love it when its cooking day because they look forward to learning a new recipe and eating the end results.

Where Did All the Supplies Go?
Funded Aug 30, 2011Thank you so much for your generous donation of a label maker, ink, paper, pencils, scissors and borders. Due to recent budget cuts it has been even harder to provide the materials and supplies my students need and deserve. But thanks to generous donors like Yahoo, my students were able to work on an arts and crafts projects for Halloween. We were also able to decorate our bulletin boards to highlight my students work and make copies of a variety of worksheets for my students to use in class and for homework.
