Welcome Home
Funded Aug 30, 2022Thank you so much for your support with this project. My students and I appreciate this more than you know. It truly takes a village just like they say.
I am always teaching my students to "pay it forward" and this helps my students see that sometimes it comes to them and sometime they need to be then ones passing it on. Teacher's couldn't do all the things we do without the support of people like you!
My students love coming into a welcoming classroom that has new supplies and not old used ones. It shows them that they are worth it and deserving. Thank you again!”

Library & Relaxation Corner Spruce Up
Funded Sep 8, 2021We are so appreciative of your generous donations to our classroom. Our relaxation corner has been utilized tremendously especially during this pandemic. Students are coming back to school anxious and overwhelmed. Many need the time to decompress and process.
This year I have spent more time teaching what it means to have a growth mindset and have appropriate classroom behavior than ever before. Students are struggling to get back into a routine while also dealing with hardships at home.
Thank you again for supporting the students and continuing to care.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Castro
Distance Teaching
Funded Aug 17, 2020I am so thankful for your gracious donations. My students will be benefiting from some of these supplies even though we are starting the year distance learning. When my students return they will be happy to come back to a welcoming classroom environment and have the supplies they need.
I wouldn't be able to give these materials to my students and we are truly appreciative. When schools closed in the Spring we left and didn't even take supplies because we thought we would be back. My students needed supplies to keep learning so thank you!”

Funded Aug 16, 2019My students were so excited to receive your donations. It definitely helped tidy up the room as well. Now the students have a place to keep their supplies and the best part is they go home and come back to school because they clip into their binders.
We have made great use of the art supplies as well and we only received them last month. We were able to make posters for fundraising that will go towards purchasing more classroom supplies. We were also able to decorate the classroom with colorful art projects and make it seem just a little more "ours". Thank you so much again for all your generosity.”

Social Emotional Learning Profession Learning Opportunity
Funded May 24, 2019This conference in one word was AMAZING. It was so much more than I thought it would be and pushed me to do some serious soul searching and reflecting when it came to my teaching and how I approach not only my students but also colleagues.
The highlight of the conference was each and every "Aha" moment. I didn't feel like I left this conference feeling behind or defeated like many conferences because the amount of information they give you is overwhelming. I left feeling calm and like I had skills that would not only support my students but also myself.
One activity I really loved had to do with what experiences our students come into the classroom with. We built towers but the supplies we got were determined by the number on a dice we rolled. Each number was a different life experience. It was eye opening to see that some towers just didn't have the materials to grow (the experiences in life to flourish).
Thank you again for giving me this opportunity. I will take all I learned back to my classroom and hopefully be able to make a difference.”

Funded Jan 21, 2019Words can't describe how thankful we are. Your support means the world to us! We love doing science and exploring new jobs and YOU are making that happen for us. We couldn't do it without you.
Now that we have supplies we can continue with our science lessons. We are now making predictions about what happens to the leaves the fall from trees. Students will be making mold grow on food to see it decompose. Once that is complete, we will make worm bins to further our knowledge of composting.
We will also start exploring what it means to be a dietitian and learning about nutrition. Students will have to create a school lunch menu using their new knowledge, expertise on what students will eat, and the National Guidelines for School Lunch Nutrition. This goes along perfectly with our opinion writing piece which is whether or not schools should serve chocolate milk.
Thank you is just not enough. We hope that knowing we are using these supplies and your donation for a great cause helps us express our appreciation.”

Funded Dec 8, 2018My students and I appreciate your generosity more than you know. We are now able to work outside to create more space inside and work comfortable around the room using the bean bag filler to fill out bean bags. If you look carefully you can find us tucked into corners working hard in quiet spots! We can't wait to begin recording out world of work videos and become real reporters on the daily Tiger News with the microphones provided. We are also thrilled to use the pencil pouches to organize our supplies. We love having the group tables to work and write on but it has come with some organizational challenges. Now hopefully we can each keep track of our own supplies. Again, thank you so much for your support in out classroom!”

Funded Nov 19, 2018My students were beyond thrilled when I told them we got our project funded. We were blown away by how quick the supplies came too! Naturally, the students wanted to jump in right away but I had to tell them it was being saved for our World of Work project.
Two weeks later, when we had Chinese exchange students, we broke them out and became theme park engineers for the week. We built theme parks online and got to defend the choices we made when it came to rides chosen, concession stand placement, how many bathrooms, etc. Once we had our blueprints we were ready to build!
We built a giant swing, a roller coaster, a ferris wheel, and then even concession stands! We had such a blast and it was all thanks to your generosity and support. Thank you again for everything!”
