Help Make School Feel Like Home
Funded Jan 22, 2022Thank you is not enough to fully express my gratitude for your generous donations. My students were so happy and felt so special knowing people like you contributed to help them grow.
With COVID regulations lowering, students have been so excited to sit near each other and work collaboratively side by side. The floor mats that you donated allow them to do this. We do a lot of group work and math talk in the classroom and these floor mats allow students to choose their own spots around the classroom where they can work with their chosen classmates to further their mathematical understanding. They love not sitting on the dirty floor and even enjoy laying on the mats during school community events.
Thank you again for your thoughtfulness - it will not be forgotten.”

Help Students Feel at Home
Funded Dec 31, 2021Thank you is not enough to fully express my gratitude for your generous donations. My students were so happy and felt so special knowing people like you contributed to help them grow.
This Macbook allows my students to effectively communicate their mathematical ideas. Students are able to
use google slides to create presentations efficiently. At our school, we often use chrome books that are fickle and students run into many glitches. This computer allows groups to create their presentations efficiently and creatively.
Our classroom atmosphere has improved drastically with our hanging plants. The first time a visitor enters our space they immediately comment on how amazing the plants look. Students find comfort in watering the plants and take more pride in their workspace.
Thank you again for your thoughtfulness - it will not be forgotten.”

Funded Feb 14, 2020Thank you all so much for the generous donations. The excitement on the faces of my students' when they saw these materials cannot be explained in words. They feel truly honored to have been gifted with materials to better their educational experience.
The dry erase markers help my students to show what they know. The prizes help incentive even my most struggling students. I wish I had the opportunity to take pictures of my students excited faces before school buildings were shut down. They truly loved them all. I was even surprised these middle schoolers got over mood pencils.
Thanks again for all of your generosity. It is much appreciated.”

Materials for Magnificent Mathematicians
Funded Jan 29, 2020Thank you all so much for the generous donations. The excitement on the faces of my students' when they saw these materials cannot be explained in words. They feel truly honored to have been gifted with materials to better their educational experience.
With the computers, students have been working in peer groups on programs like Learn Zillion and Khan Academy. This opportunity gives each student a chance to work at their own pace. In this time of remote learning, students were able to work from home on the computers.

Math All-Stars Need to Show What They Know
Funded Dec 5, 2017Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donations. My students' eyes lit up when they saw the plethora of dry erase markers and storage containers. No longer do they have to act like scavengers trying to get the last marker, they can put their minds at ease knowing that they will have the supplies they need to be successful in the math classroom.
Currently, students are working on scaling recipes from their cultural backgrounds. To communicate with one another, they are showing the math on dry erase boards, coming to a consensus that it is correct, and then copying it neatly onto their presentation paper. All of their materials get stored in a storage bin - one per group. Eventually, we are going to cook the recipes together and have a multicultural celebration.
Thank you so much for supporting my kind and hard working students. It is people like you that keep their spirits up and positive. 2018 will be a great year because of you.”

Young Mathematicians Need a Productive Working Environment
Funded Oct 24, 2016Dear Donors:
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and generous donations to my classroom project. My students and I truly feel blessed to have had people like yourselves care about the progress we make in our classroom. We cannot thank you enough.
My students' eyes lit up as they entered our newly designed workspace, now equipped with flexible seating to make the learning environment more productive and comfortable. Students beg to sit on a carpet square with a backrest on the floor. They love the feeling of working in small groups on the carpet where they can be comfortable and share their ideas instead of bunched up with five other students at a table where they have no elbow room.
Because of people like you, it is now a class incentive to "earn a floor seat." Students are competing for classroom points to earn an arm rest. Furthermore, students are properly able to show their work to others using the donated markers.
We are so grateful and excited to continue to use your donations. Thank you for creating a more welcoming environment in our classroom setting.”

Ms. Cardus

Mathematicians Need to Show What They Know!!
Funded Apr 7, 2015Thank you so much for the generous donations. My students were smiling from ear to ear when they saw the donations come in. With testing season in full swing, it brought joy to their faces to know that people like you are so generous to donate money to aid in their learning process.
Usually, our students are only given one pencil to use during the state test. Now, my students will have fully sharpened pencils to use on their Algebra 1 Regents exam. Furthermore, they will be able to clearly erase mistakes with the donated erasers. More importantly, students will able to demonstrate their knowledge on dry erase boards with a plethora of colors with the donated markers.
In two weeks, we will be using the laptop for students to create educreations videos where they will create video lessons of important math concepts. Then, they will watch each others videos to review math standards.
Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart.”

Dedicated Mathematicians In Need of Materials!
Funded Aug 23, 2014Thank you all so much for the generous donations. The excitement on the faces of my students' when they saw these materials cannot be explained in words. They feel truly honored to have been gifted with materials to better their educational experience.
With the computers and speakers, students have been working in peer groups on programs like Learn Zillion and Khan Academy. This opportunity gives each student a chance to work at their own pace.
The art supplies have improved our classroom environment. Students have been able to create posters all about themselves using expressions and then illustrating using the donated art supplies.
Thanks again for all of your generosity. It is much appreciated.”

Funded Sep 5, 2012I am truly blessed this year with amazing students. Despite the economic hardships surrounding them, everyday they come to class excited and ready to learn mathematics. It is because of donations from kind people like yourselves that I am able to have a warm and welcoming classroom environment where students are able to explore individual mathematical interests.
When students finish their assigned math work early, they are able to check a book out of the math library that interests them. Then, they can read a chapter or entire book if the time allows. It is so nice to hear, "I can't believe how much math surrounds us in our everyday lives." Students are gaining an understanding of the importance math plays in society.
Thank you again for your generous donation.”
