Students need strong and engaging reading material and these magazines provide just that. Especially now when they have probably not been able to go to the library or bookstore to choose books of their liking. For those struggling or hesitant readers, the digital versions give students the option to read or be read to; this is quite helpful for our ELLs, as they have limited exposure to English and all the visual support also aids with comprehension. Overall, Scholastic magazines are a phenomenal teaching tool in the classroom. Kids are our future, so we do our best to nourish their minds and curiosity.
