Paging Dr. Beat
Help me give my students a Dr. Beat metronome so they can practice keeping good time during class and drumline rehearsal.
Thank you so much, Ms Heather and friends, for your continued support! This colored Astrobright paper will make finding the right song in the choir folder a breeze, especially for our students with special needs. The students are so thankful for the supplies, but also for the relationship and knowing that there are caring people out there in the world. Thank you for helping my students to feel valued and good about themselves with these useful and practical art supplies. Paper, glue, and glue sticks give the kids what they need to create art projects that help them to express themselves.”

Thank you so much for helping me to attend the course, 'Student Centered Learning in the Music Classroom.' This class has prompted me to reflect upon what I am currently teaching in the music classroom, and helped me to find ways to integrate more student voice and choice during class. I have learned that being 'student-centered' doesn't neccicarily require reinventing the wheel; often the curriculum can become more student-centered when the teacher simply asks students for advice and feedback, and truly listens and is willing to give up control. Teaching for years, sometimes you get in a rut: this class is teaching me how to listen to student voices, and how to use their input and interests to create an experience which is enjoyable, equitable and educational. Thanks again for helping me attend this class.”

Thank you for bringing these beginning brass instruments to our deserving students. They are going to have a blast buzzing and blowing into these instruments, all while learning embouchure, pitch control, and listening skills. We are hoping that these instruments will be the start of a band program at the school. I can't thank you enough for helping our budding brass players start off right.”

Thanks to your help, we are closer to our goal of being 1:1 with instruments in the coming school year. Having enough ukuleles will greatly improve the instructional experience for everyone. Thank you so much for helping out our students again. Your gift is providing a giant 800 classpack and special glitter crayons to our deserving students! Crayons provide a calm, reassuring and enjoyable experience. Many of our students' fine motor skills could use development, and the number of students who struggle with using writing implements seem to grow every year with how much work gets done on the computer these days. Thanks to you, they will get a chance to practice these skills in a way that is creative and fun. They will especially love the glitter crayons! Back-to-school just got a whole lot more exciting, thanks to your generous gift!”
