Thank you so much for all of your support! We cannot wait to receive these resources! Our next learning unit on frogs is going to be amazing thanks to all of your support.
Recently we were discussing upcoming lessons and the excitement from the students over learning about frogs was emphatically given a thumbs up.
Thanks again!”

I can't describe to you how small touches can make a classroom feel more like a community. Our classroom is on the side of the school with limited sunlight. The classroom usually feels cold and dark. This can make learning feel dreadful.
Having a warm fun place to convene each day is much more conducive to learning. When students came into the classroom for the first time the first thing they noticed was how bright and fun our space was. The carpet is eye catching and every teacher and administrator could not help but stop in and admire our friendly classroom.
None of this would have been possible without amazing donors like you!”
We cannot thank you enough for all of the support our little classroom from the Bronx has received! Our students are hard working and resourceful. They make us and themselves proud everyday by taking risks to try and learn each and everyday. Because of your generosity we will continue to support students as they embark on a new school year. Thank you for being an Angel for Education!”
Thank you for choosing our classroom to give to. Our students come to school ready ti learn but sometimes they may not have had the opportunity to have eaten at home or arrive late and miss breakfast altogether. Keeping our students learning sometimes requires a quick pick me up via a light snack.
Our students know that to be our best selves, we must be physically and mentally ready to learn. That's where your gracious donation helps us tremendously. A small nutritious pick me up gets students back on track and ready to meet the next challenge. Thank you for being an Angel for Education. We greatly appreciate your support.”

Just WOW! This carpet has taken a typical dark and sterile room and made it into a bright learning space that students want to be in. The colors of our rug bring so much comfort and safety to the overall feeling of our classroom. The writing on the rug, "Good Day Sunshine" are reminders that we are open and ready to learn within the space. Colleagues and students on other classes are amazed at the vibe the rug adds to the atmosphere.
Thank you so much for donating to this project! To create a place where children want to be means that learning can be an enjoyable experience. Thank you for being an "Angel for Education".”

Thank you so much for choosing our classroom to donate to. Since Covid, we are always on high alert for illnesses and implementing routines and practice to ensure that we all stay healthy and present in school.
Our students chip in to help keep each other safe. Students will kindly get one another a tissue, help the teachers wipe down commonly used areas and desks daily with Lysol wipes and "deep clean" their shared tables weekly to make sure we are getting rid of any germs we may have brought in from the gym or the playground.
It's donors like you that help us keep our kids safe in the classroom and let us get to the business of learning. Thank you for being an Angel for Education!”

Thank you so much for thinking of our little classroom here in the Bronx. Our class needed these headphones so badly to not only take assessments online but to practice using technology to get them ready for the real world. We cannot wait to see their faces light up when they see that they have new working and comfortable headphones!”

This year we had a group of 3rd Graders that really enjoyed facilitated book clubs. My co-teacher and I wanted to read a book that had characters that changed and could easily be followed as we read. There was no better choice that The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. This book touches every person. We learn about love, loss, despair, happiness and most importantly hope.
As we read the book together we predicted what might happen next, vocabulary that was unfamiliar and analyzed how our own experiences were different or similar to the main character's story. By the end the students were asking if we could read the next book about Edward! They were shocked and saddened that there wasn't a continuation...that's how much they loved the plot! Thank you for making it possible for us to have a class set. We can't wait to share this with our next group of 3rd graders.”

Thank you so much for your thoughtful donation. Our students come to school ready to learn but they do not always have a full belly. In order for students to be able to remain alert and engaged their basic needs must be met first. That is where Donors like you come in! Please know that because of your donation a child was able to go home with a snack. Because of you my student was able to focus and complete their work. You will never know how meaningful your act of generosity and kindness has been. Thank you for being an Angel for Education.”

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom! I cannot express how a well put together classroom helps students to feel safe and confident in a learning environment. For many of my students, school is the outlet that is the one constant that they can count on to have structure and boundaries.
With small touches like a carpet, decorated bulletin boards and take a break spaces students feel at ease and are willing to take risks. I want all of our students to feel welcomed. One of the best ways to do that is to create an environment that promotes community and safety.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being an Angel for Education!”

Being a teacher in the Bronx you really notice educational inequities that exist. Not only do we want our students to have varied texts to discuss character traits, themes and main ideas we want them to be able to bridge what they read to lessons they learned in school through another persons perspective.
New books for our students can be hard to come by. My co-teacher and I want to surprise our students with a host of new titles for them to enjoy in class and at home.
My students are really excited to improve their reading skills this year. Being an ICT class can be challenging for my co-teacher and I. We have a wide range of leveled reading learners this year and want to provide challenging texts that promote curiosity and support a love of reading. Our goal is to get an appropriate leveled book in the hands of every student. Our children are thirsty for knowledge and they come ready to learn everyday. Help us fan the fires of curiosity!
