  • Hearing Without Interferring

    Funded Sep 16, 2022

First of all thank you for your generous donation to my project. The past couple of years have been so chaotic in the classroom. We have bigger classes, fewer teachers, and the world is more expensive. I truly could not provide my students with quality resources without your help. You have truly been a blessing.

My students have enjoyed using the new headphones in the classroom. They use them for computer activities each and every day. It has also been nice for everyone to have their own pair so we do not have to share. These headphones have been amazing.

Again, I cannot begin to thank you enough for helping to provide resources for my classroom through my "Hearing Without Interfering" project. Your kind and generous heart do not go unnoticed in my classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Wright

  • Chapter Book Challenge

    Funded Feb 22, 2022

First of all thank you for your generous donation to my project. The past couple of years have been so chaotic in the classroom. We have bigger classes, fewer teachers, and the world is more expensive. I truly could not provide my students with quality resources without your help. You have truly been a blessing.

My students have enjoyed reading the Magic Tree House Merlin books immensely. They have challenges to see who can read them all first and some want to read them all in order. These books have sparked a real love for reading in my classroom that I didn't think was possible.

Again, I cannot begin to thank you enough for helping to provide resources for my classroom through my "Chapter Book Challenge" project. Your kind and generous heart do not go unnoticed in my classroom.”

  • Sharpening Up Our Skills!

    Funded Feb 9, 2022

First of all thank you for your generous donation to my project. The past couple of years have been so chaotic in the classroom. We have bigger classes, fewer teachers, and the world is more expensive. I truly could not provide my students with quality resources without your help. You have truly been a blessing.

My students are so grateful for the new scissors and pencil sharpener you helped to purchase. We use the scissors almost daily with activities in Reading and Math. The pencil sharpener is wonderful as well. It helps the students not over sharpen, because it lights up and shuts off when it is ready. What an amazing feature!

Again, I cannot begin to thank you enough for helping to provide resources for my classroom through my "Sharpening Up Our Skills" project. Your kind and generous heart do not go unnoticed in my classroom.”

  • Let's STICKY Together!

    Funded Dec 15, 2021

First of all thank you for your generous donation to my project. The past couple of years have been so chaotic in the classroom. We have bigger classes, fewer teachers, and the world is more expensive. I truly could not provide my students with quality resources without your help. You have truly been a blessing.

The glue sticks that you helped to provide have been tremendously helpful in the classroom. It amazes me every year how quickly we run out. Getting new ones in December was a great way to start off January with fresh supplies. We have also loved the Post-It Note sticky anchor chart paper. I am able to create charts with students and hang them around the room so students can reference them.

Again, you have been amazing for donation to my project "Let's STICKY together." It has gave my students much needed resources.”

  • African American Biography Study

    Funded Jan 20, 2022

First of all, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donations to my project "African American Biography Study." The addition of these resource to my classroom has been such a blessing this school year. Students are now back into the classroom after a wild pandemic school year and I needed help more than ever providing quality lessons and resources to my students. This project would not have been possible without you.

Thank you so much for the African American literature you helped to purchase for my classroom. Students use them as we studied inventors, scientist, politicians, athletes, and celebrities who made an impact on our country. The students were thrilled to have these new resources to use. After reading up on their biography interest, students made posters displaying important information about their chosen person. It was such a rich learning experience for them. Hopefully one they will never forget.

My students and I are extremely grateful for your kindness and generosity for our classroom. Thank you for all you do, and continue to do, to support classrooms across the country.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Wright

  • I Can't Hear You!

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

First of all, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donations to my project "I Can't Hear You." The addition of these resource to my classroom has been such a blessing this school year. Students are now back into the classroom after a wild pandemic school year and I needed help more than ever. This project would not have been possible without you.

Thank you so much for the headphones you helped to purchase for my classroom. Students use them daily with their Chromebooks. We use many resources on our computer to learn, and each student needs to be able to hear to make full use of these programs. It is a difficult task for any teacher to afford vital resources for their classroom, but I am grateful to have your help.

My students and I are extremely grateful for your kindness and generosity for our classroom. Thank you for all you do and continue to do to support classrooms across the country.”

  • Don't Be a Fool, Help Our After School

    Funded Sep 28, 2021

First of all, thank you all so much for your generous donations towards this project. This as been one of the most challenging school years of my career and I could have have provided these resources to my after school students without your help.

This is the first year since the pandemic has started that we have had an after school program, so we did not have many resources for our students to use this year. They have especially loved the balls, hula hoops, and jump ropes. The jump ropes and bean bag toss have been a big hit with kids of all ages. The new jump ropes have lead to a jump rope challenge, where kids challenge each other to see how many they can jump. The current record is 124 times. The bean bag toss has also been a favorite for kids age 4 to 11, they all toss from different distances and try to add the totals together. We have had the most fun.

Thank you again for all your support and help for this project. It has made a world of difference for our after school program. Your kindness has made a huge impact on our kids.”

  • Documenting Our Learning

    Funded Aug 17, 2021

First of all, thank you so much for your kind donation to my class project "Documenting Our Learning." This school year has been a difficult one for us all. Students are trying to figure out how to function in this new normal of school. Thanks to people like you, it is a little bit easier.

We have loved having the document camera in our classroom. Students are able to easily follow along as I teach as I can now project it onto the board easily. We have even used the document camera as a webcam for Zoom meetings. It has been a real blessing to our classroom. I could not have purchased this item without your help.

Thank you again for your generous donation and kind heart to help fund my project. Your impact will continue to be felt for years to come.”

  • Don't Share Supplies, Don't Share Germs

    Funded Jul 12, 2021

I would like to start by again thanking you for your kind donation to my project "Don't Share Supplies, Don't Share Germs". This school year has been such a challenge and to have support from donors like you has helped to make it a little bit easier.

We have really enjoyed having our own supplies this year. The pencils, glue sticks, sharpeners, highlighters, and earbuds have made a huge difference in our classroom. We have really been working hard to keep our germs to ourselves and stay healthy. I could not have made this possible without you.

Thank you again for your gracious heart to give to my classroom and make this school year as normal as possible. You are truly a blessing to us all.”

    With gratitude,

William Butler Yates once said, "Education is not the filling a pail, but the lighting of a fire." Each day my students come to school from a variety of difficult home lives to have this educational fire lit inside of them. These children deserve better than that! My students attend a Title 1 school in South Carolina, that enrolls a wide range of ability levels, different socioeconomic backgrounds, and many even have difficult home lives. Their world is for the most part a simple one, that lacks resources and opportunities for learning. Even something as simple as being to use their own copy of a novel can really make a difference in their learning. I believe that education can truly benefit these students by giving them these opportunities and experiences that is lacking in their lives.
