When moving back to in person learning, having individual resources in a COVID safe environment is very important. I am also a first year teacher starting fresh with no classroom supplies for my students. The materials in this project will allow my students to have their own materials, books, and access to resources throughout the room. Students will have access to a student resource center that will provide them with tools they will need as we are transitioning into in person learning. Items in this resources center will be writing utensils, additional face masks, extra paper, staplers, drawing materials, and annotating materials (highlighters, post it notes, etc.). Many of my students do not have their own supplies and this project will help support them in the hybrid teaching model. Together we will be creating academic resources focusing on our skills and academic work in a hybrid model. These will be in form of anchor charts that will be displayed in the classroom for students to reference. Both virtual and distance learners will be able to collaborate using the tools in this project. I will use the 3 ring binders to help my students organize their group work/literacy circles while in person. To keep all student materials separate and organized, I will use the colored masking tape to organize our classroom by color/number of Chromebooks and student materials. I will use the books I have included in this project to bring diversity in our classroom that represent all students. These books will add to my students’ classroom library.
