I teach an *amazing* group of second graders in the Dual Language program at PS9. My students are incredibly diverse in terms of racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. They also bring a broad range of diverse interests, talents, and learning styles to the classroom. My goal is to create learning experiences that honor that diversity. I am especially impressed with the commitment my students have shown to becoming bilingual, bi-cultural, and bi-literate. This makes their course load more challenging, but they bring their best each and every day. Because they bring their best every day, I want them to have the best of everything too!
