Thank you so much for donating to this amazing cause. My students deserve nothing but the best. A packet of supplies for each family will take the morning stress out of gathering materials for our class work. I want my students to focus on our time together and not to worry about materials.”

  • STEM Morning Tubs

    Funded Dec 6, 2017

Teaching STEM in elementary grades opens the door for teachers and students to become tomorrow's movers and shakers. Young children with a strong foundation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics will go on to play an integral role in our nation's global competitiveness and economic stability. Teachers can foster critical thinking through problem solving in elementary STEM education and provide students with an academic edge over the competition. Perhaps you see yourself observing a group of young students as they attempt to create a working light out of wire, batteries, a switch and a small bulb. The only direction you offer is that the switch must be used. While walking around the room, you listen as students work together to create their light, periodically calling the students together to offer guidance through questioning. Ultimately, teachers in STEM fields have the opportunity to give their students room to explore, experiment and solve problems logically. My students have warmed up to difficult tasks. They have immersed themselves in higher-order thing because it is now considered "FUN". I cannot thank the donors enough for this awesome opportunity awarded to my students!!!”

  • Literature Centers Abound

    Funded Mar 10, 2016

My students are so excited for choosing centers daily. The most popular center is our Literature Center! The students are so excited so get a book to listen on cd/tape. The joy I see on their face is indescribable. Students who are below grade level in reading are excited to listen to a story and follow along with the text. I targeted 4 students over 8 weeks. Those 4 students went to our Literature Center once a week with follow-up targeted instruction. Those students all went up 3 or more Fountas&Pinnell reading levels. That growth was great! Thank you for selecting to help our class!”

    With gratitude,
