  • Middle School Math Interactive Notebooks

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

Thank you so much for giving my students the ability to create and use their own math journals. With all of the supplies you have gifted us we are able to create meaningful interactive journals that have impacted our students and how they are learning math. These journals give students the ability to create a resource that they can go back to and utilize throughout the entire year, and hopefully even years to come.

Students have been loving the different resources we have created and use them on their quizzes and tests. These journals have really helped our students take accountability for their learning. We thank you so much for your kindness!”

  • Graphic Novels for Middle Grade Readers

    Funded Jan 21, 2022

Our classroom has loved having these graphic novels in our library. These graphic novels make them reading more accessible to all of my readers. They make reading interesting and fun to even my most hesitant readers.

These books are the most checked out books in my classroom library and they are constantly asking for me to add more to the graphic novel shelf, especially the books from the series.

We try to find time every day to read and enjoy the books that have been gifted to us. For many of my students my books in my library are the only books they have constant access to and I am so thankful I am able to provide them a wide variety of reading materials. Thank you so much to brining joy to our classroom in the form of literature. We appreciate you greatly.”

  • Manga and Graphic Novels for Middle Schoolers

    Funded Sep 24, 2021

Often times it can be difficult to get sixth grade students to want to read or they struggle finding books that catch their interest. I have found that graphic novels and manga reach a demographic of students who don't typically enjoy reading, these novels interest a wide range of students. Having graphic novels and manga in the classroom helps students feel accomplished when they complete a novel and also makes the process of reading more manageable.

I have seen many students who typically don't choose to read in their free time pick up a manga or a graphic novel and actually enjoy reading. These novels have made a big impact in our students and has added diversity to our classroom library. We are so thankful to have these new additions to our library.”

Thank you so much for your kind donations! These books have made a huge impact on my students. My students come to be from so many different cultures, backgrounds, and family lives. I always want my students to see themselves in the books on our shelves in the classroom. These diverse middle grade novles have really helped my students be able to see their lives and their stories being told.

Thank you for letting my students see themselves in literature. My kids have been reading more and have been asking for more books with similiar characters.

It means so much to my students and I that you helped grow our library into a more diverse and inclusive library. Thank you!”

  • Diverse Nonfiction Books for 6th Graders

    Funded Mar 16, 2021

Thank you so much for helping us add so many amazing nonfiction books to our classroom library! Before these nonfiction books were added, I had many students who didn't think they enjoyed reading. These texts have shown some of my struggling readers that they do indeed love reading, they just enjoy nonfiction more!

We have been enjoying learning about new topics together that they have read about in these books and many of them are on the lookout in the school library for more books on the topic!

We have loved these additions to our library. Thank you!”

  • Discover Their Love For Reading

    Funded Apr 1, 2021

My students have been loving these books! They have loved having so many new options to choose from when they pull books from the classroom library. I have students who haven't shown any interest in reading start to really look forward to choosing books to read and having time to enjoy reading in class.

They have loved talking about the different books that they share a common interest with their peers and many of them have started looking for similiar books for them to read at the school library.

These books have given my students so much enjoyment. Thank you!”

  • Fantasy and Sci Fi Books for 6th Grade Readers

    Funded Jan 12, 2021

My students are LOVING these fantasy and science fiction books. These genres are so popular with my student and before this project I had very little of these genres in my classroom library. Students have been gravitating towards these titles in search of a new favorite read.

I had many reluctant readers, some who thought they didn't like reading and others who knew that they only liked a specific type of book and I didn't have that type of book available for them in our classroom. After this project, I have a far less amount of students who are reluctant to reading and many who have fallen in love with a series that we have thanks to you.

I am so thankful for this project and the joy it has brought my students. I can't wait to see all of the stories they fell in love with while reading these books. Thank you!”

  • Engaging Books for Sixth Graders

    Funded Nov 30, 2020

These books have been a hit in our classroom! My sixth graders are loving these engaging and diverse novels. My students particularly are enjoying the graphic novels. Graphic novels are a great way for even my biggest reluctant readers to get involved in reading and to fall in love with a story.

I am always looking to refresh and add new books to our classroom library so that my library grows with my students and the culture that they are a part of. I always want my students to feel seen and reflected in the books they are picking up from our classroom library.

We have loved reading these books and growing as readers as we travel with the book. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts, we are very grateful!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Codd
