I am an ESE teacher at a Title 1 Elementary School in Miami-Dade County, Florida. My classroom consists ESE students with Varying Exceptionalities. Some of my students are also English language learners. Many of my students struggle through classroom instruction not only because of their academic deficits, but also because of the difficulty they have with focusing and remaining on-task. Most of them are hands-on and visual learners, and they need a variety of teaching aids to keep them motivated and focused long enough to grasp the skills being taught.
