  • School Supplies for Scholars

    Funded Sep 5, 2022

Your contributions towards this variety of school supplies for my students has truly impacted our classroom. Thanks to you, my students have access to rulers that aren't cracked, protractors, highlighters, pens, and glue sticks. These supplies have helped to create equal opportunities in our classroom for all students, regardless of whether they can afford their own supplies, and have allowed us to do more hands-on explorations and interactive lessons.

In addition, the 3-hole punch and the paper cutter have been lifesavers for me as the teacher in ensuring that everybody's work is neat and hole-punched for their binders. We also have saved so much paper by being able to easily cut papers in half or thirds to share, rather than wasting whole sheets every time.

I really appreciate all of your support in helping to make sure that we have basic supplies for our classroom! Thanks a billion!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Blessing

  • Bookshelf for Binders

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

This bookshelf has been a lifesaver this school year! My students are so grateful to have a space where they can keep their binders and notebooks without having to carry them everywhere. This has helped us create a routine within our classroom, helped students know where their materials are every day, and helped us reinforce the importance of organization and keeping track of our belongings.

Additionally, this bookshelf has helped my co-teacher and myself stay organized and sane as we switch from classroom to classroom throughout the day. Having a bookshelf where we can keep all of our students' work in a designated spot while sharing this particular classroom with multiple other teachers has helped us to keep track of our students' work and materials.

Your support and generosity has gone a long way and I am so thankful for your impact on my students!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Blessing

  • Organized Teachers Cultivate Organized Students

    Funded Dec 22, 2021

Thank you so much for helping to fund this project! With your help, I was able to get desk organizers, paper trays, and a storage cart to help sort my supplies. I share an office with five other teachers, and the only space that I can truly call my own (since we all share classrooms throughout the day) is my desk, so it was imperative to me that I could make it feel like my own space. I do my best work when I feel organized and "homey," and now thanks to your donation, I do! With your help, I am now able to arrive at work and know where all of my supplies are without having to dig, and have a space that makes sense and is organized. I am so grateful! Thank you so much for your support always, and for helping me to be the best teacher I can be!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Blessing

  • Second Semester Supplies for Success

    Funded Dec 15, 2021

I want to humbly thank you all for your generous donation and support in funding this project. Seeing as I'm at a new school this year, in many ways it has felt like I am a first year teacher all over again starting from scratch. These supplies really helped to make my classroom feel more functional, organized, and make more sense to my teaching style.

Students now have individual folders to keep their work our class separate from their other subjects and all in one place. Folders are a different color for each class, and include a homework reflection checklist sheet that is printed on the colorful copy paper funded by this project. This organization technique has greatly increased student success and they are no longer searching deep into their backpacks for crinkled up homework.

I really appreciate all you have done to help us finish out this second half of the year strong! Your care for my classes does not go unnoticed and is a major factor in my students' success! Thank you again!”

    Ms. Blessing

  • Neat Notebooks = Successful Students

    Funded Sep 18, 2021

Thank you so much for all of your help in getting notebooks for my students! These notebooks have helped keep my 9th grade algebra students organized and learn how to better take notes. We use them every day in class, and the students have really taken the time to keep them organized while customizing them to be their own personal reference guide for our class.

The students were so excited to have these notebooks provided for them, and left one less financial burden for them to have to worry about. These really made the difference in our course and their impact shows through the organizational growth my students have demonstrated over the past few months.

I appreciate all of your support in achieving this project. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your generosity!”

  • Cameras, and Photos, and Memories, Oh My!

    Funded Jun 23, 2021

Thank you so much for your donations and generous support in helping to fund a new camera! With your help, we now have a camera that can be used to document the amazing activities happening within our classroom, and the memories being created around the school. These memories are so very precious, as students are returning to their in-person interactions for the first time in 18 months. They are reuniting with one another and trying to make the most of what time they have left in high school together. Having the resources now to freeze these moments for them to look back on later in life is such a gift. Thank you so much for making that possible for my students! We could not have done it without you.”

  • An Apple for Your Art Teacher

    Funded May 18, 2021

Thanks to your generosity this project was able to be fully funded to get me an iPad for my classroom! Currently, I am using this iPad to help screencast directions to my students (who all have iPads for the remainder of remote learning). For the 15 months we have been remotely teaching I have not been able to demonstrate directions accurately because what I have seen on my computer screen does not correspond with the layouts on the iPads, but thanks to you I am finally able to change that!

Going forward, this iPad will be used to help create videos and tutorials for a flipped classroom and will inevitably help as we integrate more technology into our classrooms in years to come.

Thank you for helping to fund this iPad, and for believing in my classroom and my students!”

  • Art and Annotating With Apple Pencil

    Funded May 18, 2021

Thank you again for all of your support with my classroom! This Apple Pencil has enhanced my iPad experience tremendously and made a world of difference as I annotate and demonstrate in my currently virtual art and math classrooms. I am now able to share my iPad screen to match my students, and easily write on the questions we are discussing in class. This is a huge step up from trying to annotate with a mouse pad on a laptop! The students can now read my handwriting!

Going forward, I cannot wait to use this pencil to do digital drawing demonstrations for my visual arts classes, and create screencast videos for a flipped classroom!

Your contributions and belief in our classroom and my students does not go unnoticed, and I will forever be grateful that I was able to get these supplies thanks to you!”

  • Reading that Relates to our Real World

    Funded May 16, 2021

Thank you so very much for helping to fund these books to help improve my teaching and share with the students. I am so excited to help make more connections between what is going on in our classroom and what is happening in the world around us. These books connect math with art, examine culture and gender in math and art, and allow us to critically think about our own experiences in terms of these subjects. I cannot wait to use these as resources going forward, and could not have done it without you. I appreciate your support for our classroom and my students' education more than I can express!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Blessing

  • Using Your Voice through Visual Arts

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

Thank you so much for your help and support in funding this project! The entire project was funded in less than 24 hours, which is truly unbelievable! I cannot express how grateful I am for your help in getting all of these supplies for my art students. These supplies will allow us to do such amazing projects together, even with COVID restrictions putting a damper on the year. I am eternally thankful for your help, and could not have done it without you. Our year will undoubtedly run smoother and be more exciting thanks to you.”

This year will be my 8th year of teaching mathematics, and my second year at this school. My goals this year are to create an environment that fosters social-emotional growth, community building, and explores organization and life skills and discovery-based mathematics. My students come from many diverse backgrounds and have very unique lives that impact their views on school and mathematics. Many of my students are considered high-risk students, are English Language Learners and/or have special needs. Some love the challenge that comes with STEM and math, while others find a lot of anxiety in this topic. Regardless of their view on math and their backgrounds coming into the year, my students are kind, determined students who will spend this year becoming a tight-knit community of learners and leaders, and grow academically, emotionally, and socially together.
