  • Organization = Success

    Funded Aug 25, 2024

This project has been a game changer this year! I've loved having a system in place where each student has a binder, and the students appreciate having a designated space for all of their papers. It also has been incredible that this project helped us color-code our classes so we can easily find a students' binder because we know what color it is.

Thank you so much for helping to support this vision and helping me provide each of my students with their binder at the beginning of the year. I cannot emphasize enough how much it means to have your support in making my classroom visions come to life.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Blessing

  • Rainbow Reference Resources

    Funded Aug 29, 2024

THANK YOU so much for your help with getting this project funded over the summer. This project allowed me to get a variety of colorful paper to help color code our geometry binders. I've been using this paper to print study guides, reference sheets, and unit reviews so that my students can easily find the one-pagers that will help them the most throughout our units. The students have appreciated this so much, and I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate you for helping them.

Thank you for your generosity and for supporting for my classroom.”

  • Love Your Inner Silly Goose

    Funded Aug 12, 2024

Thank you so much for helping to fund this project! This particular project has been my favorite project so far! The students have such an attachment to our "class pet," Gary the Goose. This project helped to get costumes to dress him up. The students take turns picking out his weekly outfits, which brings so many laughs and joy to our class community. Students also often bring this goose to sit near them when they are having a bad day and want some moral support. This silly symbol for our classroom has brightened spirits, and allowed for my students to embrace imagination and joy.

I appreciate you so much for helping to bring this project to life! THANK YOU!”

  • Health, Hygiene, and Clean Classrooms

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and helping to fund this project to help keep my students clean and healthy. This project allowed for me to get basic cleaning supplies and hygiene products to keep in the classroom for my students. Students from all over the school stop by to use the lotion, hand sanitizer, and tissues thanks to this project, and we have been able to clean the desks regularly to help prevent germs from spreading. It has been wonderful to be able to provide this kind of environment for the class and meet their needs so they can comfortably learn.

I appreciate it so much that you helped to make this a reality!”

  • Writing and Drawing in Our Math Class!

    Funded Aug 29, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and helping to fund this project to get basic writing supplies for our geometry classroom. Thanks to you, my students have had access to pencils, pens, erasers, and other basic supplies that they may not always be able to bring with them. Having equal access to these basic tools has helped set my students up for success.

Your support is so greatly appreciated, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping my students gain access to the tools they needed this school year.”

    Ms. Blessing

  • Goodbye Worksheets, Hello Geometry!

    Funded Aug 31, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and helping to fund this project to make our geometry class more interactive! Thanks to you, my students have been able to understand our class better and have a more hands-on learning experience to help make the math more approachable. The students LOVE doing their work on the dry erase boards and constructing with the compasses. I'm looking forward to seeing their joy when we get to introduce the Play Doh to our lessons in a few months.

Your support is so greatly appreciated, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping my students gain access to the tools they need to succeed.”

  • Headphones for Helping Students

    Funded Sep 10, 2023

Thank you so much for your donations and support towards this project. The headphones have had a tremendous impact on the learning and well-being of my students this year. These headphones have provided an escape on some of their toughest days, and has helped to regulate emotions in the classroom. It can be extremely overstimulating to be around so many other students on high-anxiety days, but having the chance to escape has helped students deescalate in a healthy way. This could not have been possible without you believing in this project! From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Blessing

  • Notebooks for Our Thoughts

    Funded Sep 8, 2022

My students were so excited for our interactive math notebooks this year! Each student was able to get a composition notebook with grid paper (color coded by class so we could easily find our notebooks!). Each student glues their interactive guided notes and example sheets into their books daily so that by the end of the course they'll have a reference book. They love having access to these books, and have vocalized how much easier it makes taking notes. They can easily look back at their previous units, and track their notes all in one place without fear of losing anything. This organization and routine has made our class run so smoothly, and I am so grateful that we were able to make this project happen!”

  • Binders for Everybody!

    Funded Sep 10, 2022

This project was huge for my classroom, and I cannot thank you enough for your help in getting it funded! With your help, I was able to supply each of my 170 students with their own binder and ten dividers (one for each unit). We were able to color code each class, and enforce organization and routines in a way that wouldn't have been possible without this project. Because of this, each of my students has equal access to organization and keeping track of their work to reference back to later in life.

Thank you so much for your help in making this dream project possible!”

    With gratitude,

  • Color Coding Our Math

    Funded Sep 6, 2022

Thank you so much for believing in my project and helping to supply colored paper for my classroom! This paper has helped my students' learning more than I could express. Each unit, we use this colored paper to print out a reference table or one-pager notes to summarize the key takeaways from the unit. Students refer back to these colorful reference sheets more than any other part of their binder / notebook, and have vocalized how useful they are. Because of your help, I can keep these sheets coming for my students!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Blessing

This year will be my 8th year of teaching mathematics, and my second year at this school. My goals this year are to create an environment that fosters social-emotional growth, community building, and explores organization and life skills and discovery-based mathematics. My students come from many diverse backgrounds and have very unique lives that impact their views on school and mathematics. Many of my students are considered high-risk students, are English Language Learners and/or have special needs. Some love the challenge that comes with STEM and math, while others find a lot of anxiety in this topic. Regardless of their view on math and their backgrounds coming into the year, my students are kind, determined students who will spend this year becoming a tight-knit community of learners and leaders, and grow academically, emotionally, and socially together.
