Funded Sep 6, 2023I can't thank you enough for your help in getting these treats for kiddos. Already this year I have been able to provide my students with little rewards to celebrate them doing responsible and respectful things, like being kind to others and remembering to bring back those important first day of school papers.
One of my favorite lessons to do with the kids is with a picture book titled Taste Your Words by Bonnie Clark. Having the sweet treats truly help make the lesson sink in. I know it does when I overhear the kids telling each other "... to taste your words" or "...that's not a sweet thing to say...".
The biggest hit on our room is the gumball machine and treat bucket. The kids barely had their foot in the door before they started saying "I heard about the gumballs last year!" and "I knew it! She has the best candy!" Although, water bottle stickers are pretty popular this year. I love being able to use them as a quick reward and recognition.
This year's group of kiddos are pretty amazing. And again, thank you will never be enough words to express my true gratitude for your help with making this the best 4th grade year possible!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Withrow
