Celebrating the Chinese New Year
Funded Dec 13, 2023Although their hearts may be small, they hold a lot of gratitude for the materials you have provided for our classroom.
You have made a tremendous impact on the dynamic of our classroom! Upon the start of school, we had a huge change and my class went from eighteen 4th graders to twenty 5th graders. It has been a rollercoaster of a ride for the kiddos and for myself. Using the materials from this project helps to keep my students engaged while applying the academic learning piece. Reading from a textbook and doing worksheets is not a way I enjoying teaching, nor is it a way they enjoy learning. Your generosity has helped me make my teaching a lot more effective and so much more fun.
I wish words could express our gratitude. I shutter to think of how our classroom would be without all the engaging lessons that I am able to teach because of donors like you. Thank you again for this incredible donation!"”

Funded Dec 14, 2023Treats for my Sweets is by far my student's favorite projects to help me put together. It has been "one of those days" for weeks now with all the changes happening around us. My students and I are feeling the pressure of standarized testing and all the other stresses of district unit tests. Some days we just need a little sweet treat to brighten our spirits.
This is truly an amazing group of kiddos and I want so badly to help them celebrate always trying, giving their best effort, and continuing to believe in themselves even if they dont get it right the first time. Thank you so much for helping me make that happen! My heart is so happy!”

Something Yummy in My Tummy
Funded Jan 8, 2024This is my second year doing a snack break with my students and let me tell you, it is a hit! Not all of my students are able to bring a snack from home, so I wanted to make sure they all had access to something. That's where the snack buckets come in at! The kiddos know if they are hungry, simply go grab something. Their lunch is at 10:40, so by the time 12 o'clock hits, they are literally already counting down the minutes for dismissal because they are starving. Having the snack buckets full really does help to help them focused and ready to learn.
They were so excited to see all of the boxes of snacks because before the holiday break we were completely out. Thank you so much for helping me provide the best experience possible for my kiddos!! We appreciate you very much!”

Brain Breaks
Funded Dec 7, 2023Well we barely got the new materials into the building before the students put them to good use! We literally ripped the boxes open as soon as they arrived! They were so excited to have new things to play with during our brain break times. I absolutely love watching kids be kids. The kids have competitions to see who can make the most real looking foods. They are so serious about it and they have so much fun with it. I think it's pretty awesome that the kinetic sand table is something that every single kid in my class enjoys doing.
It's so important to see them play and be active. They all play so well together and are working on taking turns and sharing. I am looking forward to the rest of the year of watching kids be kids! Thank you again for helping my students stay engaged and active.”

Flexing Our Reading and Writing Skills
Funded Nov 29, 2023Thank you for giving my students a new cozy spot to work at around the room! These new pillows are even the absolute best for the classroom. They are so so soft and are the perfect size for my kiddos... the students love them. I was able to create a new comfy spot that my students can use while working around the room. They love to be able to get up out of their seats and move around. Don't we all? I see a lot more focus when my students are given a choice on where to work. Thank you again for helping me provide the best learning experience possible for my kiddos!”

Funded Dec 5, 2023It's the most wonderful time of the year! This week is hands down my favorite week every year. We spend the whole week focusing on texts that show how traditions are shared when cultures combine. The students create all sorts of crafts and ornaments using what they learn from the books we read about the holidays around the world. We tie every one of them to a book. It's such a fun, and exhausting, week. These books were a huge hit. I loved letting the kids create their holiday decor based on what we read. It was so fun to see all of the variations they came up with. Everything turned out great! They were so proud of all of their hard work.
The country flag letters for our school banner was probably their favorite part. The whole school has been working to create decorations from around the world in order to transform our hallways into a work of art that embraces all cultures. They get so excited when they walk by and see their work hanging for all to see.
Thank you so much for helping to fill our classroom with holiday magic!”

Funded Nov 7, 2023It's the most wonderful time of the year! This week is hands down my favorite week every year. We spend the whole week focusing on texts that show how traditions are shared when cultures combine. The students create all sorts of crafts and ornaments using what they learn from the books we read about the holidays around the wrold. We tie every one of them to a book. It's such a fun, and exhausting, week. These ornaments were a huge hit. I loved letting the kids create their own ornaments. It was so fun to see all of the variations they came up with. They started with a blank paper and got to design several different types, then they chose the one they liked the best. They turned out great! They were so proud of all of their hard work.
The snowmen were probably their favorite part. I love being able to see them use their imaginations to crete something unique. They get so excited when I tell them they can keep the whole bag of ornaments at the end.
Thank you so much for helping to fill our classroom with holiday magic!”

Recognizing and Rewarding Great Work
Funded Nov 22, 2023Thank you so much for donating to our classroom celebrations for behavior incentives. I have been working hard to promote social and emotional development as well as academic. Having these candy bags will make it so easy for me to surprise my kiddos with fun and yummy brain breaks.
When I selected the candy for such occasions, I was thinking of the kiddos I have in my class this year. They are ALWAYS asking for candy and sweet treats for rewards so I asked their opinion for this project. They picked the thing they wanted most and was over the moon excited when they saw that it was funded. I already added the treat bags to our daily choice rewards.
Thanks again for your donations; we really appreciate you!”

STEM Learning Stations
Funded Nov 8, 2023Thank you so much for providing my students with new tablets to use with the coding robot activities in our STEAM learning station. The students really love being creative and building, so I knew they were going to lose their mind when they saw these. I love that they will each be able to pick a project of their choice to work with and create. We do rotating STEAM stations in the Science Lab and the kids always ask to include the robots. Thank you so much for helping me give the students in 4th grade a diverse and engaging experience this year!”
