  • Going Crazy for Crafts!

    Funded Apr 8, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting our classroom project! My students use these supplies all year long. Some activites and projects are planned and sooooo many are on the spot teaching moments where the kids are so engaged, it hurts my heart to stop them. We've had so many of these wonderful and fun filled days this year. By providing my students with these supplies, you have made their and my job a little easier. Now these students don't have to worry about if they have the materials to complete the task. As excited as I was this year to have such amazing donors for my classroom projects, I was in tears the day I saw this project funded. Your kind heart is making it so that i can do it AGAIN! I won't be able to say it enough but thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Withrow

    Funded Apr 11, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting our classroom project! My students use these supplies on a daily basis! By providing my students with these basic supplies, you have made their and my job a little easier. Now these students don't have to worry about if they have the materials to complete the task. Every year parents provide their students with these supplies at the beginning of the year, but this year I was thankful to help make it easier on parents as well, by providing for the students. As excited as I was this year, I was in tears the day i saw this project funded. Your kind heart is making it so that i can do it AGAIN! I won't be able to say it enough but thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom!”

  • Our Reading Table Stools Keep Breaking!

    Funded Apr 2, 2022

OMCHEESE! I am so excited that this project was funded. These stools are the perfect addition to our classroom guided reading table! I am so impressed by how sturdy they are. I just knew the students were going to love them when they sat in them. We have two classes with 20 students in each. There is a wide range of body sizes, so I wanted to create the most comforting learning environment possible for ALL of my kiddos. Our old stools were very limited in comfort and they couldn't hold up to some of the kiddos sitting in them. Students are now able to sit comfortably while doing small group instruction and they already commented on the difference. Thank you again so much for your kindness and generosity. I know this year has brought its own set of challenges, but people like you make it a little easier, and more fun, for us!"”

  • Flying Into Spring!

    Funded Feb 19, 2022

When I say I wish you could have seen their faces, I am not exaggerating! These kites are even cuter and better quality than I could have hoped for. Each kit comes nicely packaged with everything you need for three kits inside. As the weather has warmed and the spring winds blow, I encourage my students to spend time outside each day. Today, we got to do just that. We enjoyed social time just getting to chat and laugh while decorating and the afternoon was spent running and playing as they soared through the air. So thank you for giving each of my kiddos a special project that allowed them to spend a little extra time together having fun!”

  • Beautiful Marks

    Funded Mar 30, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation. I couldn't wait to share all the markers that came from this project. I might have been more excited than they were because such a small thing allows my kiddos such a huge opportunity to ignite their imaginations. You will never truly understand the impact you have made in the lives of my students. Your donation for the markers during this unprecedented time, has also give them the opportunity to improve their social skills and bring a since of normalcy back to "elementary school".

The joy and excitement my kiddos are displaying for learning is priceless. They used the markers to decorate their very own kites. It goes along with one of our writing pieces and we'll even get to fly them this Friday afternoon as a part of our "Fun Friday"! Thank you again for helping me make their learning experience the best it can be.”

  • Every Book Deserves a Home

    Funded Mar 30, 2022

Thank you so much for funding our brand new shelves! They were definitely the right choice for the classroom. When our custodial crew delivered the boxes, I couldn't wait to put them together! I've spent the last few months cleaning out the classroom to make room for our ever growing library, but we still just didn't have enough. These shelves are perfect for storing all the new book bins that we've been able to add because of donors like you! I love how sturdy they are, which allowed me to fit way more than I expected. Our days are busy and I wanted to make sure the new flexible seating areas I am putting in place are something that is easily managed. Thanks to you, they will be.

Thank you again for helping to keep our room organized and allowing me to make the best learning experience I can for my kiddos!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Withrow

  • I'm So Lucky to Have You!

    Funded Mar 22, 2022

This year I have an amazing group of kiddos who are eager to come to school every day and visit the classroom to think, create, share, grow and of course, read!

Even with some of the hurdles that they face from day to day in this ever increasing virtual world, they are still eager to read and READ books where they can incorporate hands-on activities and/ or crafts and artwork with it. Lately, I've been able to add so many new books to our classroom library and art areas.

These "I'm so lucky to have you" treat bags are so helpful in keeping the kiddos engaged and yearning to do more. With the materials funded by donors like you, I've been able to reach so many of my kiddos that were ready to give up.

I've watched as their eyes light up when I pull out a new book to read and I am beyond amazed at what they create for our activities and artwork. Seeing them so involved wanting MORE, makes my heart smile.

The kiddos asked that I share some extra pictures with you. They wanted you to see some of the work they've done this month that involved a leprechaun stealing our gold and it was up to us to trap him and get it back. This unit allowed the kids to compare fiction and nonfiction texts, a lot of creative writing, and their final piece of a "How to..." for making a leprechaun trap. The idea was shared with me by an amazing teacher that I have the privilege to work with and it was the absolute most fun! The best part was when the leprechaun broke in and covered our class in clovers and gold glitter! I hope you enjoy the pics and that they make your heart smile as much as they do mine. Thank you for helping me give them a fun treat for all their hardwork!”

  • Expanding Our Classroom Library Pt. 2

    Funded Mar 21, 2022

This year I have an amazing group of kiddos who are eager to come to school every day and visit the classroom to think, create, share, grow and of course, read!

Even with some of the hurdles that they face from day to day in this ever increasing virtual world, they are still eager to read and READ books where they can incorporate hands-on activities and/ or crafts and artwork with it. I've added each of these books to our art area.

These materials are so helpful in keeping the kiddos engaged and yearning to do more. They get so bogged down with "school reading" or reading just to take a test, that they lost sight of reading just for fun. Especially the students who already struggle with reading at grade level.

Thank you for helping me make it all possible.

Thank you so much; we appreciate you and your donations!”

I am so excited and eager to welcome 24 bright smiling faces into my classroom this fall. I teach 4th grade at a Title 1 school in Norfolk, VA. Many students in our school come from low-income households. This has many implications academically. It is my desire that my classroom is a place where ALL students come to feel loved and to have an equal opportunity to learn and grow. No matter the challenges they face, my students come to school wanting to succeed and I want to do everything I can to help them do just that!
