Print for Success
Funded Sep 29, 2024Thank you soo much for the gift of a color printer. We are truly grateful for your generosity and thoughtfulness in assisting our classroom. The students and I love our color printer. We have used it to create holiday cards for our families (which were a huge success). We also used it to print our photos to be trapped in a snow glode. The students loved seeing themselves in snow. Additionally we use it to print color hundreds charts to aid the students in math. The colors truly helped them count by tens to see the patterns of numbers. We are excited to use the scanner to help us see our work. This is truly a gift for our class. Color truly helps students who live in world full of color. We appreciate all your support for out young minds.”

Funded Oct 9, 2022Thank you so much for donating to the classroom. The children are so excited to see the boxes of supplies arrive at the classroom. They were so happy to be able to print once again with your help. We were able to complete class projects like self portraits based on books, place value activities, and trapped in a snow globe. We are also now able to print reading charts so the children have a tool box when they read tricky words.
We are in the process of making a collaborative poster to celebrate Kindness day that will be placed in the hallways for all students to see. I am now able to print decodable worksheets and books for students to take home and practice building there reading skills. I am also able to print math games like addition and subtraction dominos to aid students in learning their math facts. The lamination sheets help to preserve the games to be used with future classes.
The power of print and paper can never be replaced. Students need to feel and write in order to enhance their learning. With these supplies we are allowing students to grow their minds and embrace learning.”

We Have a Need to Read
Funded Sep 29, 2022Words cannot express how thankful my class is to have new books in our room. The students cheered whenever they saw boxes arrived at out school/ classroom. Opening the boxes the students eyes grew wide with excitement to read new books. In our reading units they are discussing various reading strategies to read difficult words. They are using these books to practice these skills. Since the books come in multiple copies we are able to partner read. Students are learning how to reread parts of books and a partners are helping to encourage each other to try new strategies.
In our room student book baggies are filled with new and exciting book titles. Each week students are loving going book shopping because each week they are able to read new books. Books they would not have had access to without you. They are reading more and more. This is helping each student move up in their reading skills and encourages them to try reading new books series.
The smiles on their faces are priceless. They are telling each other to read the books they just read. You cannot put a price on the love and joy of reading. Reading is a lifelong skill they are learning about at a young age.”

Funded Sep 20, 2014Thank you all once again for all of your generosity. When the box of books came the students could not wait to begin to read them. Their eyes lit up. It was an amazing experience. They all wanted to read Junie B. Jones and Amelia Bedevil. My girls were excited to begin to read Andrew Clements. The new magnetized dry erase board is wonderful. When it arrived it was no problem to put together but it was difficult to erase. The directions did not show there was a plastic film around the whole board. After some use we discovered there was a plastic film and once removed it worked wonders. The kids learned the importance of reading directions. It is wonderful to be able to write on a clean board with a variety of colors so they can better understand math. It is very helpful having a second board in the room. Thank you for all of your support words cannot begin to describe how these materials will benefit my students. We are creating life long readers!”
