My classroom is full of incredible kids with outstanding personalities. Each and every one of them has goals, dreams, and the ability to become something incredible in this world. However, many of them struggle to get their needs met in the classroom. I have an abundance of students reading and doing math significantly below grade level. About half my students have English as their second language, and almost all of them have a lot of catching up to do in order to achieve a fourth grade level in academics. Despite their challenges, this particular group of kids have a fire and thirst for learning that I have not seen paralleled in any other group of kids. They dream big, feel big, and will achieve big with the right help and resources. I cannot express the amount of love and hope I have for my students. They are independent, determined, and full of a rainbow of personalities. There is never a dull moment!
