  • Life Long Readers

    Funded Sep 18, 2014

The First Grade students wanted to thank you so much for your support and kindness. The students have not been able to stop talking about the books we received. They are so excited to have books about things they are interested in. Superheros, Fairies and Lego's, Oh My! These book are just the right level, they are interesting and the kids relate to the stories in the books because these are the shows they watch on television. They keep the kids engaged.

Every week we choose different books to read and take home. The book baskets that you supplied for us are always the first ones to get picked out of. These are the books the kids share when reading to the class and when doing partner reading. These are the books that the kids take home to read to their parents, brothers and sisters.

The books have not only helped the children with their reading , but have taught them that reading can be fun and not a chore. There are thousands of different kinds of books in the world and know they know that there are books that they are going to enjoy reading and want to read not just because the teacher told them too.

Thank you for helping me show the students that reading is fun!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Beckford

  • Learning Centers are FUN

    Funded Sep 5, 2013

I want to first thank you for you donations to my classroom. My students love the games so much!! They were so excited to play with the games. I have seen a positive change in my students. With out you none of the progress made in my class would have been possible. I see them want to play games that teach them the tools necessary to succeed in reading and writing. They improve skills and reinforce lessons that have been taught. With your help my students have gained a strong sense of self worth and higher self esteem. I will continue to push them to their highest and greatest abilities. Thank you again.”

  • Hear The Music

    Funded Jun 7, 2011

I want to first thank you for you donations to my classroom.  The supplies have made a drastic positive change for my students.  With out you none of the progress made in my class would have been possible.        I am now able to not only let my students use the computers everyday with out distracting the work that is going on in the rest of the room, but I am able to encourage the use of the computers.  The pens are a motivation for my students to write story upon story which is great at this age where they can feel comfortable putting their thoughts onto paper and not afraid or intimidated by what every one else is doing.  All of my students have published their books inside the classroom.  We have used the pastels to decorate the covers of our published books.

With your help my students have gained a strong sense of self worth and higher self esteem.  I will continue to push them to their highest and greatest abilities.&nbsp”

  • Coloring Our Future

    Funded Dec 28, 2010

Words cannot thank you enough for the impact that the gifts you have given to our class have made. Your generous donations of the seat sacks and the color print has made a tremendous difference in the focus the children have on the lessons being taught to them. You have helped my students gain understanding and insight into new vocabulary and unit information through color pictures that can be displayed for reference. They have had the excitement of typing papers and title pages in color and showing them to friends, classmates and family. They have had add visual aids and great encouragement from our now colorful room. They have the chance to work on tasks uninterrupted by pencils, notebooks and other papers because there work areas are now clutter free.

These things were only possible because you had the heart to donate to our school. The schools budget would never have accommodated these vital resources that can be used year after year. My students now have that extra step they needed to help with their success. Thank You so much, your thoughtfulness has not bee”
