  • Books: Food For The Brain Part 2!

    Funded Dec 30, 2021

I would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your kindness and generosity. It means so much to know that you care about the success of my students as much as I do.

This year is my eighth year teaching kindergarten and after 10 years of teaching various grades. Although I have collected a decent amount of books over the years, I did not have many that were in good condition. Having this set of leveled reading books that are stored in my classroom library allows me to meet the needs of individual students in my class. I now have a collection of books at my fingertips that I can pull to use with students in ten different reading levels.

The students have enjoyed reading books at their individual reading levels and they like having books that cover a wide variety of different topics. The students are enjoying reading together in small groups and talking about the books with each other.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Johnson

  • Books: Food for the Brain!

    Funded Oct 20, 2021

I would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your kindness and generosity. It means so much to know that you care about the success of my students as much as I do.

My students love exploring new books, and although we are still in the beginning stages of independent reading, they thoroughly enjoy being read to.

There are several students in my class whose favorite choice time center is the library. During choice time they love to look at books, and use puppets to retell stories.

I can't wait to read all of these books with my students, and have them each grow as young readers as well.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Johnson

  • The Snowy Day!

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

Thank you for brining this new collection of books to my classroom. My students love Ezra Jack Keats and his book, The Snowy Day. We have read this book many times in class and the students loved getting their very own copy to keep this holiday season.

Sending books home develops a child's early literacy skills, involves families in their education, and can even help with emotional development such as separation anxiety. Being surrounded by lots and lots of books where they live helps children build vocabulary, increase awareness and comprehension, and expand horizons. Thank you!”

  • Warm and Snug!

    Funded Dec 27, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity in such trying times. My students and I are completely overwhelmed by your donation to our class and are sooo thankful for you! The students loved opening their hats and gloves. They were so excited that they went home and shared in the joy with their caregivers. They now are able to walk keep warm when walking to and from school. This will help them prepare and stay focused during instruction.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping our students!”

  • School Supplies Part 2

    Funded Jan 17, 2022

My students and I are overwhelmed with your generosity! My students have been able to immediately use the glue, pencils, and crayons. Thank you for thinking of us and contributing to our classroom!

School supplies are essential items to be successful in school. The parents in my school often can not afford to replenish school supplies. I try to replenish as much as I can from my own pocket, but it can become quite expensive. Your donation have allowed us to have pencils we need to complete our daily class assignments. We are able to do projects with the glue sticks and the crayons.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Johnson

  • Ink Me!

    Funded Sep 24, 2021

My students have benefited greatly so far this year from your generosity. It's hard to explain how much ink we use every year and it's costly! Almost all assignments require printing or copying. Without such a basic item we would not be able to get by. We were able to write parent newsletters and send them home to keep parents informed. We used the ink to create homework assignments. We used ink to create vocabulary walls and nonverbal signals for student use. And all this is just the beginning of the many things we were able to do with the ink. Thank you so much!”

  • Let's Chart It!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

First of all thank you so much for your generous donation that allowed us to receive chart paper. The students were so excited when the box arrived. The students really have a lot of fun coming up and writing on the chart paper.

We have been able to utilize it everyday. Paper was scarce before, so we had to use it sparingly. It is as if you have given us sheets of gold. We use it during small group instruction, whole group instruction, group projects, and independent practice.

Thank you very very much. Teachers everywhere appreciate your support for education!”

I can not thank you enough for your generous donation! It is truly great that you chose my project to fund. My students will appreciate your generous donation. The data binders will help my students track their progress over the course of the school year.

In addition, students will be able to create goals and take ownership of their learning. Students will take on leadership roles and lead their parent teacher conferences with their binders.

I teach wonderful students in a kindergarten class in a high need community. Our school has many children that are being raised by one parent, a grandparent, or other relatives. Many of our students are bunking with other family members or close friends of the family. Despite their living situations they come to school excited and ready to learn.
