Virtual Learners have Visions too!
Funded Aug 25, 2020Thank you so much for funding our project! The printer, easel, Post-It chart paper, and chart paper markers have really helped my students access the curriculum through distance learning. Since we are not in the classroom, students have benefited from all the materials funded in this project but may not know it! Students are able to better understand math because I am able to print the pages and use my document camera to show the math concepts. As well, chart paper, markers, and easel are great to create anchor charts to help students learn materials in all subject areas. Thank you so much for your donations. It is extremely helpful during this very difficult time.”

Funded Sep 18, 2018Room 15 cannot thank you enough for our new seats. We are loving every one of them. Students are able to participate in flexible seating on a daily basis. They have had the opportunity to use all of the different kinds of seats and find which seat best suits their needs. I have seen a huge impact on their ability to focus on the task at hand as well as a continued improvement in their academic success. Students especially love the giant bean bags and the wobble stools. The wobble stools have been extremely helpful for my students that have trouble sitting still.
The student's experience with their new flexible seating came not long after the school year started. Students were in class when the boxes were brought in by our fabulous Woodlake volunteers. Students were so excited to see what was in the boxes. Students eyes lit up everytime a new chair came out of a box. Continuously, students walk into the classroom excited to learn. They still are thrilled at the opportunity to move about the classroom and sit in the seat that works best for them!
Students continue to learn to make responsible choices in regards to their seating choice as well as their choice of partners and groups. This skill allows the student to be responsible for their actions and make them aware of the choices they can make and how these choices affect them. I am going to continue to allows my students to have more choice throughout the year. I believe this will help them throughout all of their school years to come. Thank you again for your support and generosity. We are thankful for people like you!”
