These books will be used for literature circle groups. The books will be utilized along with our school's Keys of Excellence program, which includes the philosophy of teaching children about integrity, failure leading to success, speaking with a purpose, ownership, commitment, flexibility, and balance. These books will immerse my students in the lives of characters that are learning about kindness, caring and compassion. The variety of books in this project will provide different experiences with which to view these character building concepts and allows for maximum engagement by providing students with the chance to choose a book they identify most closely with.

About my class
