My students come from different backgrounds and cultures. I have students whose outside living situations are far more difficult that coming to school is a safe haven for them. My students are wonderful beings with great minds that can change the world. They just need that teacher who will encourage them and broaden their thinking to one day see themselves as the future leaders they will soon become. Being a low poverty school with majority of our students in broken homes or broken families is not an excuse for their learning. They deserve the same opportunities and resources as any other student in the opposite situation and it is my mission to make that come to life. My students are hungry for new knowledge, new approaches, and new strategies that will enhance their learning and ultimately their thinking to see the importance of having an education. All they need is a believer who will believe in them and invest in them the quality resources needed to reach their full potential.
