• Snug as a Bug on a Rug!

• Pint-Sized Picassos!

  Thank you so so much for your generous donation to our classroom! My students and I were so excited to receive the boxes of supplies and materials, and put them to good use!

  One project we used your donations towards was redecorating the main hallway of our school, to create a more uplifting and welcoming environment. Kids created drawings and self-portraits that were displayed all up and down the hallway for all to see. The crayons, markers, and storage supplies were put to good use, as you can see in the pictures we shared!”

  We've used many of the books to help us deepen our understanding of, and appreciation for, various cultures, ethnicities, and religions. My students come from a wide variety of background, and they really appreciate seeing themselves within the books they read and videos they watch. They also love learning about cultures and people who have different background than they do!

• Calming Comfort

• Bringing the Outside In!

  Thank you so much, again, for your generous gift to our classroom. My students and I are so excited to dive into planting, studying, and harvesting using the tools you provided for us.

  We have started planting some lavender, bachelor's button, and mint seeds, and have been watering and providing sunlight. This morning, when the kids arrived in the classroom, they were so excited to see that many of the seeds had sprouted!

  We are also looking forward to combining what we learn in our hydroponics class with what we're growing and observing in our classroom!”

• Tadpole Talk!

  Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. The kids were so excited when all of the materials arrived and were eager to help get our new classroom friends set up and acclimated.

  I noticed an immediate change in some of my students once our tadpoles were integrated into our class. Some of them used them as a way to calm down when feeling stressed, some drew pictures and diagrams of the tadpoles, and some used them as talking points with friends!

  They have also some in handy when my students go to the science lab and learn about life cycles and environmental changes.

• Social-Emotional Superstars

  Thank you so much for your incredibly generous donations to our classroom! My students love the books, fidgets, and organizers you supplied! We now have books about understanding and handling our emotions and feelings, tools like pop-its to help us focus and stay calm when stressed, and journals that we can write in when maybe sometimes talking out loud feels too difficult.

  In our classroom, we devote time to talking about, and writing about, our feelings, stresses, worries questions, and joys. Your donations will be incredibly helpful in navigating those conversations.

  The supplies and books you provided have really helped some of my students come our of their shells and be more open and honest both with the class and with themselves.”

• Hermit Crab Habitat!

  Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom pet project, our hermit crabs!

  My students were so excited when all of the supplies arrived and we could set-up our tank and introduce our little guys, who we have named Sherman and Sir Snappington, to their new home!

  Having the hermit crabs has created such a happy buzz in my classroom every morning - my students are eager to come into the room and search for the crabs in their tank. They are always so surprised by the places they're found in! It has given my students a great sense of responsibility - they know not to create loud noises because it scares the crabs, they help change their food and water, and it's fun to watch them bond over watching the crabs!

  I can't wait until we can do some nonfiction reading projects based on our hermit crabs, as well as some art projects.

• Fifth Grade Mathemagicians!

  Thank you so much for your generous contributions to our class' math explorations. My students were so excited to be able to explore math using many different tools, such as math-based novels, handheld manipulatives, and technology.

  The students in my class had a variety of learning styles, abilities, and interests. The tools you provided allowed them to work on multiple projects that worked best for them - they designed road trips (multiplication, division, and decimals), completed online escape rooms, and were able to add some enjoyment into their math periods by reading novels that have a math "twist"!”
