My goal as a teacher is to make sure I provide the supplies and learning opportunities that will allow them to be successful and flourish academically and socially. The easel is the hub for first grade learning. We use the easel at some point during almost every single lesson, especially during our literacy block. The Quartet easel would provide my students with a more rich learning experience, as the easel and will be able hold up charts that have been made for students to keep track of important information and strategies. The easel will also serve as a way to organize lessons in a more visual manner that will allow my first graders to digest our learning adventures. Along with the easel, that will be used during our literacy block, it is important to have other materials to help provide fluency and comprehension for students at differentiating levels. This is why I am asking for a fluency bank and TIME magazine for kids. By donating TIME for kids, you are providing my students with the opportunity to engage in high interest nonfiction text that is reflective of the events that are occurring currently. It also helps improve my students reading fluency and comprehension. So, if I can be provided with these few essential items, my students will greatly benefit. We will be able to do many more engaging lessons with these very necessary items. I want my incoming group of students to have opportunities that will allow them to become the very BEST versions of themselves. With these essential items, my students will greatly benefit.
