Words cannot describe how grateful we are for all your donations. Our class had the opportunity to pair up with an elementary class this year. We took our board games and stools over to our buddy class to practice communication skills . Many students had not played checkers or battleship before and the delight in their eyes when they got a chance to play these games was so awesome to experience. As an educator for over 20 years to see my students get excited about explaining to another student how to play a game was so rewarding. We had several groups playing Uno and the excitement in their voices was heartwarming to hear them explaining and see them playing together.Just know the impact you are making in this community will have a lasting effect on their futures.”
My students were very grateful for the added prizes and snacks. When my students saw them they were even more eager to start earning tickets.
Students are able to earn tickets by demonstrating the Bulldog attributes. When they complete their assignments on time they are given a ticket. When students volunteer to bring in the breakfast cart and set it up for others to grab their breakfast more easily they receive 5 tickets. Students who volunteer to participate and come up to the board and share their reasoning with the class will earn 3 tickets. Students can also earn tickets when they volunteer to perform various jobs around the classroom. These are some examples of how my students earn tickets to exchange for prizes.”

My students love the bean bag chairs. Your generosity towards us has been very overwhelming and we are truly grateful for your contributions to our classroom. During independent work time students are allowed to go over to sit on the rug or in a bean bag. Some students have expressed how they feel more comfortable sitting in different positions and in different areas of the classroom during that time. Some reported that they are able to concentrate better and stay focused longer. They wished I had received more bean bag chairs. We also have a high table with barstools for those who get giggly and need to stand during class time.”

I was very excited to start the new year, with these resources for my students. Many students come to school having experienced arguments or disagreements with their parents, guardians or friends. Which in turn sets the mood for the day. Many of the situations they are facing are out of their control. Having a place for them to decompress their emotions and think it through will allow them to learn life long skills to cope with many different situations in life. Our school community provides our students with a supportive and routine filled environment.”
