Hi, I am Ms. Allen the 5th grade general education teacher here at Makaha Elementary. Our classroom makes up a wonderfully diverse range of students. None of these students have been in a classroom for 18 months and I am very concerned about them not being able to move around enough or stimulate their brain while being stuck inside all day. I am hoping for more equipment to provide opportunities that will allow them to move and get some exercise since we all know what a profound and important effect that has on brain function and health as well! Our school compromises a large population of students that come from low-income families. All of our students receive a free or reduced lunch. Thank you so much, Ms. Allen.
