The Future is in Our Hands!
Funded Feb 24, 2017Thank you so much for your kind donations! My students have thoroughly enjoyed using the 3Doodler Pens! They could not get enough of the pens and have been so creative with their designs.
With the 3Doodlers my students have been able to create 3D geometrical figures like pyramids and cubes. The 3 Doodler pens have helped my students bring math to life! The best part of using the 3Doodler Pens is that while they are designing, they are also measuring and reasoning with their partners!
Once again, thank you so much for adding more STEAM into our classrooms!!”

Let's Take the Stage and Share With the World!
Funded Sep 2, 2016Thank you so much for your wonderful donations! With your donations, my class was able to use their own microphones and speakers when presenting their work.
My students definitely noticed a difference in confidence when students were given a microphone. The students didn't feel like they had to speak too loudly and instead focused on their presentation. With these new tools, my students have been able to improve their craft as presenters and have been practicing speaking clearly and with conviction!
Once again, thank you so much for your donations!!”

Thank you so much for your wonderful contributions. Now that my students have their portable microscopes they have become more inquisitive than ever! With these portable microscope my students are truly able to use their cell phone or device as a learning tool! The microscopes allow my students to observe and examine objects far easier than before. My students simply have to find a specimen to examine, open up their cell phone's camera app and attach the microscope to their cell phone and voila! They're budding scientists! These microscopes have made my classroom more collaborative and my students more interested in life around them .

Mission to Mars!
Funded Feb 17, 2016Dear Donors,
My students and I would like to thank you for your kind donations. Your donations helped us go on such a wonderful field trip and have an amazing learning experience. Our trip to the Columbia Memorial Space Center was truly something my students will never forget!
One of the highlights was the Mission To Mars simulation. The students were split up into groups where they got to pretend to be either on a shuttle to mars or in the Houston control center. While on the shuttle, they were able to conduct experiments on rock and water samples. This was to demonstrate some of the actual experiments astronauts do while in space. While in the control center, students go to give orders and help the shuttle navigate towards Mars. The students loved being actual scientists!!
Once again thank you for such a wonderful opportunity!”

Help Me Code!
Funded Oct 15, 2015Thank you so much for your kind donations! With your donations my students received their much anticipated Chromebooks. With these Chromebooks, my students were able to participate in Hour of Code, learning computer programming skills while having fun. Besides participating in Hour of Code, my students have been able to learn to use several Google Apps, such as Google Classroom and Google Drive. These newly learned skills will allow my students to collaborate and learn from each other now and in years to come.
These Chromebooks have introduced a new language in my classroom - one of collaboration, creativity and problem solving. Students are constantly help each other out finding solutions and even further researching topics discussed in the class. Students also have been eagerly looking for different coding websites to get more practice!! My students have definitely benefited from your donations. We are VERY Grateful!”

With these new art supplies, my students were able to create books based on their research projects about Ancient Egypt and The Thirteen Colonies. My students felt as if their research project was not complete until they were able to publish their findings and put together in a book. This was an exciting time for them!

Time For Global Studies!
Funded Sep 15, 2014Thank you so much for your generous donations! My students and I are extremely grateful for our new cushions and Time for Kids magazines.
As soon as my 5th and 6th graders saw the colorful cushions they began to use them as back rests, as well as floor pillows while they worked in their book clubs. These cushions allow my readers to be very comfortable while they read and work in groups.
My students also enjoyed reading their issues of Time for Kids. They have learned so much from these kid-friendly non-fiction articles. These articles gave my students access to information like Coding and computer programming, global warming, and other such important issues affecting others their age.
Once again, we want to thank you for your generosity and kind donation!”

Learning About the World and Its Diverse Inhabitants!
Funded Sep 14, 2013Thank you so much for you wonderful donations! Through your donations, my students now have access to Time for Kids monthly subscription. This magazine has exposed my students to real life heroes and even children their age making a difference in the world.
Along with the Time for Kids, my students also received post-it notes and pens in order to make annotations and take notes while they read. This has allowed them to feel connected to the text and even inspired then to write their own magazine.
Once again, thanks to your kind donations, my students are now very motivated to real non-fiction and even hope to write their own classroom magazine soon.”

Interactive Math!
Funded Sep 1, 2013Thank you so much for your kind donations. My students greatly appreciate all their new resources. The colorful cushions have allowed my students to work on the floor and in small groups, all while being comfortable.
The fraction and shape magnets have made math more fun and exciting for my students, because they don't have to stay in their seat to do math. My students can now use their magnetic math boards and sit around the classroom in their own private areas. Their large size also makes it easier for every child to see when working in larger groups and even whole group.
All these colorful and kid friendly resources have definitely made math more accessible to my students and have made learning fun.”

Funded Aug 7, 2013Thank you so much for your kind donations. My students were thrilled to receive their new organization tools and when they saw the magnetic hooks and storage bins, they could not wait to use them.
The students in my class who are still learning their high frequency words immediately asked to hang their flashcards on the magnetic hooks. Daily, these students take their words, practice them and proudly hang them on their own magnetic hook. The file storage bins have also helped my students tremendously. These storage bins have helped create more independent students, because now, they are able to file their own original stories when they are complete. They really love seeing their own file folder fill up with their own work.
Once again, thank you so much for your donations!”
