My school is located in the inner city, where poverty and need is common. It is an elementary school with over 600 students, 27 teachers and extreme budget cuts that are threatening and impacting their education. I teach 5th grade with 30 students in my class. 100% of my students receive free lunch. Even though our school is on a brand new campus, we have very limited resources, not allowing our students to fully take advantage of their school. These limited resources make it difficult for our students to thrive and learn and be ready to be global citizens of our society.
