"STEM-Ing" on Documents!
Funded Mar 18, 2019Receiving a new document camera has been an amazing experience for myself and my students. When our old document camera broke we were extremely sad and felt lost without it. This new document camera is better than we ever expected!
With this new document camera, students are able to view me completing math, reading, science, social studies, and STEM activities. We have even had student to use the document camera to show their classmates how to complete an activity. Thank you again for helping to bring this project to life.”

Funded Dec 6, 2018Our classroom now has many hands on math activities. Learning area and perimeter has been much more fun and engaging since adding hands on activities. Students were able to see, move, and touch pieces to help them have a concrete understanding of area of perimeter. The individual math games on various 3rd grade topics have been a wonderful addition to our math stations. These games give students to opportunity to practice whatever skills they feel they need to work on. Thank you so very much for helping to add these resources to our classroom!”

It's Carpet Time!
Funded Nov 11, 2018Thank you so much for helping us get a carpet! Our new carpet is much larger and it's clean! :-) Everyone now has their own space to sit and learn. This new carpet has been a game changer for our classroom. We use it daily for group learning. Students also use it to relax while reading their books. It's amazing how one simple addition to a classroom can make a world of difference. Again, thank you for thinking of us and helping up to have a magical carpet ride each and every day!! We are extremely thankful.”

Nearpod for Our Pod
Funded Oct 17, 2018We are thrilled and excited that we have been able to add nearpod to our "toolbox" of activities. Nearpod has changed the way students are learning. It has so many interactive components that even the most reluctant of learners are excited and engaged. We use nearpod for every subject but, especially math and reading. It allows presentations to be on every screen and in front of every student. No more straining eyes trying to see the board! Best of all, it is fun and hands on! Students enjoy it so much that it's a constant "hush" across the classroom when it's time to begin! Thank you again!”

Flex Space in Our Room!
Funded May 10, 2018I cannot begin to describe the impact that our new "flex space" has had on our classroom. I never imagined that adding a couch and chair to our classroom would make such a huge difference. It has provided an inviting and comfortable space for the students to work and learn. The students are always eager to use the space when they are given the opportunity to move around the room and finish assignments. It is often a race of who will get there first. :-) Again, thank you for helping to transform our learning space.”

Funded Apr 4, 2018Since receiving our new privacy folders, our classroom has changed! Students are eager to use them as it aides in giving them their own space in such an over-crowded classroom. Having the privacy folders has allowed students to focus when they have to complete an important assessment. Before getting the folders, students struggled to stay focused when they had an important assessment because they could see everything and everyone in the room. Now that they have their own privacy folder, they have a partition that they can use to help block out and alleviate distractions.

Boogie to Beat Boredom!
Funded Jul 30, 2017School can be boring and mundane but having boogie boards has given a new, fresh perspective to learning! Boogie boards have been a great alternative to paper/pencil activities. Students are very excited and enthused to do algorithm, practice vocabulary, and even take notes! This tool has been a complete "game-changer" for our classroom! Since receiving Boogie Boards, my students are excited about basic activities that they once found boring. Again, thank you so very much for helping us to "Boogie to Beat Boredom!"”

Learning Tolerance Through Seating Choices
Funded Jul 27, 2017Thank you for generously donating to my project. This project has allowed me to provide various seating options within my classroom. Students are able to sit on beanbags, meditation pillows, cushions, and even a special table. The excitement that students portray because they have a choice in their seating is amazing. Having portable seating options allows students to sit anywhere in our classroom while enjoying a seat that isn't hard. These options have increased engagement and student achievement. Funded Aug 18, 2016Having this grant funded has made an incredible difference in our classroom. Not having basic supplies can be a real "game changer" in an elementary classroom. When our resources arrived, the students were extremely excited and grateful. Because of your generosity, my students are no longer restricted to using regular pencils. We have options now! Students are able to earn and be rewarded with colored pens and mechanical pencils. In addition to the writing utensils, our new filing system has been a true blessing. Again, thank you so much!”

Funded Sep 7, 2016We are so excited to have more options for seating in our classroom! One day I received several extremely big brown boxes. I didn't open them during the school day. As the day went on, several students tried to predict what was in the boxes. The next morning when they arrived and the boxes had been opened, they were thrilled to see that the project had been funded. Each morning, students are excited to come to class because they know they have a comfortable seat. I have seen tremendous improvement in their behavior as well as their classwork. Thank you again for your generous donation which has aided not only students this year, but for years to come to have the option of flexible seating.”
