Intervention Motivations
Funded Aug 14, 2024I would like to extend my utmost gratitude to your kindness, generosity, and support with my classes over the years and especially this project. This project is impacting our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders ranging from being new to the country to students not having had the opportunity to have reading intervention.
Thank you for this invaluable gift you have provided our students. We appreciate the materials you have donated for these materials are being used daily to provide the practice needed for our students to become better readers and writers.”

Funded Feb 17, 2024I can't thank you enough for the support you have provided my students and the opportunity given to my students to explore, investigate, learn, make mistakes, grow, and build using these Robotics kits.
These kits have opened the students' eyes to more tactile exposure to technology. Many of the students play Roblox and other online games but do not get an opportunity to manipulate Lego-like pieces and follow detailed instructions to make their machines work properly.
The students have also learned to share a machine, take turns, support and encourage one another, and work in teams. Thank you so much for the impact this project has made to our students at Leland. We are very appreciative of the support you have given us!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Delgado
Inking and Marking the Next School Year
Funded Jun 2, 2021Our deepest and most sincerest gratitude for donating to this project. Without your support, we will not be able to print out class assignments, communication with parents, and other school related materials. It's wonderful to have a working printer after inheriting an old printer from a retiring colleague and it not working after 1year. We are grateful for your generosity, especially after a year of changes and rough patches brought on by the pandemic. Again, our sincerest and deepest gratitude.”

Technology for Virtual Learning Maximization
Funded Aug 30, 2020From the bottom of our hearts, our class would like to say thank you for providing us this iPad to help with our distance learning class. With the help of this IPad, I am able to log in twice and use the second log in to show live note taking, annotations, and sample correct penmanship and handwriting to 2nd graders who need quite a bit of live demonstrations in order for better understanding. Without this iPad, I am unable to demonstrate many of the things I easily show to the class while we are in the classroom.
We are very grateful and fortunate to have this learning tool for everyday distance learning. Thank you!”

Creating and Coloring for More Fun Learning
Funded Jan 12, 2020Thank you very much for your support and generosity by finding our project. These art materials may seem easy to purchase but multiplied enough for the class adds up and is very costly. With your support, we are able to utilize the dry erase markers to practice math concepts and skills in a colorful and fun way. We are able to have more fun art projects and activities to show our creativity to match the skills and concepts that we are learning in class. We are also able to creat posters in support of preserving sea life. Your funds have allowed us to utilize various mediums in art. Thank you so much for your generosity and support!”

Critical Thinking With Coding
Funded Jan 9, 2020Thank you very much for providing our class with Botley, the coding robot, and our set of headphones. Through your generosity, we are able to explore more education technology and experience learning in other ways, besides books. Because of your support, we are able to use our Chromebooks regularly to do reading comprehension and play phonics game. We are able to practice our spelling patterns and earn points by completing math skills. We are also excited to be playing with Botley and learn how to give it directions and code. Thank you again for your support and generosity!”

Funded Aug 13, 2019This project has had a great impact on my students! This project has made social studies and science so much more fun and interactive for the students. They are able to read colorful magazines (their hands on magazines!!!) and they are also able to play games relevant to the articles at home with the home log in!
We are able to use the Scholastic News and Science Spin magazines as both whole group lessons and centers during Guided Reading Workshop. The students have the option to read the articles more than once through the website provided by Scholastic and the supplemental activities are always relevant and fun for the students.
My students Ivy and Honor particularly like that they are able to learn about new things. The colorful pictures in Scholastic News paints a clear picture of the events and news today and information about how things have been long ago. Likewise, the pictures provided in Science Spin teaches them about scientists, animals, plants and other interesting facts! They are very grateful for these magazines! Thank you very much!”

Funded Aug 24, 2018On behalf of my current class and the class that will come after, we would like to thank each and every one of you for making this project come to fruition. These essential materials will serve the class well throughout the school year and will ne helpful in each child's success. The students are much more comfortable sitting on the rug during mini-lessons in math, reader's workshop, writer's workshop, and word study. It has livened up our classroom even more and the students are excited to have something bright to sit on. The notebooks have been personalized and decorated to make Writer's Workshop more engaging and relevant. The pictures and images on their notebook covers provide the students with inspiration and having their writing in one place, hence the notebooks, provide consistency and neatness. They know where all of their drafts are.
We say thank you again for your generosity and assistance in completing this project.”

Funded Jul 13, 2018Thank you very much for your generosity in providing these Scholastic magazine subscriptions. Storyworks is amazing because, not only does it providesupplemental academic resources for the students, it also provides the students insight on relevant and current events that are beyond the walls of our classroom. These events clearly touch their hearts and show resilience, courage, and strength of other students their age. The articles in both Storyworks and Dynamath are also very interesting and enjoyable.
Some of my students do not have access to magazines and it is great to see that the students are getting exposed to reading other types of reading materials such as magazines to learn. They are also getting exposed to a variety of genres such as non fiction texts, realistic fiction, and poetry.
Again, thank you so much for your generosity in providing our class with more access to reading materials that also relates to math and its complexities and equations!”

Robotics in Full STEAM!
Funded Dec 21, 2016Thank you so very much for the Little Bits Gizmos and Gadgets Robotics Kits that you have provided for the students at our school. The students are so excited to tinker with them and learn about circuits. They feel so successful every time they are able to work together and make something. This is the very first Robotics class held at our school and the students are beyond excited each time we have class. They are able to tap on their creative side, make something work, and feel successful in their kinesthetic ability. Both boys and girls are always ready to get started and make something new each time. We are very grateful for this opportunity in our community and I know these robotics kits have already made a lasting impression on them. Again, thank you!”
