Wonderful World of Watercolor
Funded Mar 26, 2023Thank you so very much for these generous donations. Every donation that is given to classrooms makes an immediate difference in the student and teacher experience.
Students were able to use these watercolor to create a variety of unique and creative pieces of art last year and I know that the art teacher this year is putting them to great use also!
I have been so lucky over the years to have such generous donors and a truly incredible community to support my students. Thank you, every time I pull out donated supplies I think about the beautiful caring souls each one of you is.”

Funded Oct 5, 2022Thank you so very much for your generous donations to our classroom so far this year! Each of the donated items has already gone into heavy rotation in our classroom, especially the spinning wheel! We love it and it's extremely exciting for the kiddos to get chosen to spin the wheel! Another favorite thing is our miniature mailbox for sure! The kiddos love to put their post-it notes (thanks for those also) in the mailbox to get school points or to just let me know they were thinking of me and they love me! It's adorable getting to pull their notes out each day! We are also excited to get started working on some stop motion and other digital animation later this year using the headphones. Unfortunately the lightbox was incorrectly shipped and we had to choose a replacement item (the wheel!) but I'd say that my students might be enjoying it even more. Thank you for the opportunity to bring joy and sweetness into my classroom!”

Funded Apr 7, 2022Thank you so much for contributing to the success of our end of year art show projects! We put these items to use immediately! Students used the paint markers to decorate display boards and show off the gorgeous and unique art they worked so hard to create throughout the year!
I hope there is a day when teachers do not need to fundraise in this way for basic supplies for students however, until that day comes please know that your contribute to the success of every student and every teacher you generously support here on Donors Choose. I can not thank you enough.”

Funded Nov 12, 2021Thank you so much for the valuable donations of masks, hand soap and paint containers. All of these things have had an immediate, positive impact on our classroom.
My students have absolutely loved having the easy to use paint containers. They can quickly tell when a color needs to be refilled and they can easily pour paint for themselves. The ability to work independently in our art studio is one of our main goals for the year. By giving students tool that are easy to use, intuitive and organized they are able to focus on creating art while also keeping our studio easy to keep organized!”

Funded Aug 13, 2021Our aquarium is a place of joy, calm (mostly!), and conversation! There are moments where I will see students staring from across the room, taking a moment of calm in the general controlled chaos of a middle school art room and it brings so much joy to my heart.
This school year has once again been like building the plane while we fly it but it has also been a time of healing and connection and joy for students and teachers. Having this aquarium has been hugely beneficial to curate the classroom atmosphere students have needed this year to feel safe coming back to school. I heard some of my more reserved students truly speak out loud the day I added the fish to our aquarium...even if a few of them joked about eating our new fishy family members!
Students just finished up our clay unit and we are so excited to put the decorations and ceramic turtles around the tank to keep our fish company when we have to leave for the night!
This absolutely would not have been possible without you. So many of you have supported my classroom for years and it has made all the difference in mine and my student's daily lives. Your donations have impacted thousands of students in the last decade and we are eternally grateful to all who choose to support us with each project.
As I tell my students at the end of each class,
"I love you.
Make good choices.
Have a good day!"”

Ms. Miller

Funded Oct 30, 2019Drawing books have been the single greatest addition to my classroom this year. Through your generous donations we were able to add over 20 drawing books and a display bookshelf for the students to easily access the books.
Students especially love learning how to draw the human form and characters from their favorite cartoons. There are times when multiple students are flipping the pages back and forth so that they can both use the book at the same time. We have even had students who don't take art come in asking to use the drawing books.
Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference in my student's lives. Thank you for supporting me and my students in this project and in life.”

Funded Jun 18, 2019We are so very grateful for your generous donations. The sewing machines, cutting mats, thread, rotary cutters and other items we received have helped my students feel like real fiber artists this year. So far this year the artists in our studio have created English Paper Piecing projects, they have made pajama pants, others have begun making quilt blocks and still others are working on designing their own clothing. Many of my students asked in they could hand sew all year because they felt like using the sewing machine was too difficult, now they come in to class and will already be sewing by the time the bell rings for class to start. This was made possible because of your generosity. Whether this was the first time you have donated to our classroom or you've donated many times, thank you, each time you donate I am able to give my students access to opportunity and choices we wouldn't have had otherwise.”

Funded Oct 3, 2018Thank you so very much for your generous donation to our classroom. This is the first year I have taught in this classroom and while the school has done as much as it could to prepare the classroom it was in desperate need of storage, technology and supplies.
The upper cabinets we received as part of our request have allowed students to both access and organize the supplies in our classroom giving them even more autonomy and ownership in our classroom.
The tablets we received are used every day in every single class period. Students are able to use them to research and expand their imaginations as well as document the work they have created in their digital portfolios.
Through this generous donation we also received many supplies we desperately needed, most notably white paper for projects and a heat gun. The heat gun is also used in every class, every day so that students aren't wasting their precious art minutes waiting for projects to dry. We are able to use the heat gun and get papers and paint to dry quickly so we can work on the next step.
These supplies have become a regular part of our classroom and I couldn't imagine what our classroom would be without them.
Thank you again for the generosity!”

Funded Feb 7, 2018With your generous donations we have been able to greatly expand our collage station this year! This station is a class favorite for children of all ages.
The new circle table allows all students to have access to the glue, scissors and other supplies in the middle of the table. The circular shape also allows students to collaborate, work off of each others ideas and socialize with their friends.
The supplies we received in addition to our table; colored tape, colored Popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, and a paper cutter have taken our ideas to a whole new level. Our collage station used to consist of a lot of flat, 2D pictures but not we are making all types of 3D structures!
We can not thank you enough for your generosity and support of our project, our table will be used for years to come and we will think of you each time we sit down.”

Funded Jan 25, 2018We took out the new sewing machines and immediately got to work! These computerized machines allow students to be independent and work at a pace they are comfortable with. Having four sewing machines mean that students have the opportunity to finish multiple projects in a week instead of waiting a few weeks to finish just one project.
Some of my fourth grade students have decided to sew the baby clothes, bags, and baby mittens for their math teacher who is expecting a baby this school year. Other students have started making hair bows, small bags, doll clothes and more.
Teaching my students to sew is a skill they will be able to use throughout their life. It is through your generous donations that we have been able to add four sewing machines to our classroom and we could never thank you all enough.”
