It is hard for children to sit for long periods of time and focus. Fidgeting or wiggling is natural. Balance ball chairs will allow students to have controlled movements while still remaining focused on the lesson and their work. With your donation, each student's desk will be equipped with a balance ball instead of a chair. Research (You can read one article at http://life.gaiam.com/article/how-sitting-ball-helps-kids-focus-and-do-better-school ) has proven that the use of balance balls not only improves focus and achievement, but also strengthens core muscles. I have been researching the use of balance balls in my classroom for years and funding has been the reason I haven't implemented them. Thank you in advance for your consideration--every dollar will be very appreciated in helping my students succeed!
