A Brighter Future Paved With Chrome!
Funded Nov 15, 2012Thank you so much for your generosity in supporting our classroom. It is fun to see the difference having the additional technology in our classroom is making. We finally have time for students to get the practice they need on our math related sites and still have time to publish their stories and Finnish spelling work. The pace at which they are moving through their Math practice has significantly increased.
The most exciting thing that I am seeing as a teacher is the ability to individualize instruction. Students are able to practice skills until they are mastered rather that having to keep moving on because most of the class has it. The other benefit is the reporting and tracking capability of the software we use. I know instantly if students have got it or whether they need more progress.
The additional technology has been great and I am excited to see how much more students can progress as we continue through the school year.”

Fire Up Learning
Funded Oct 16, 2012I would like to express my gratitude for the donation of our Kindle Fire. It has become a valuable resource in our daily instruction in our classroom. The great thing about the kindle Fire is it allows students access to books, the Internet, and media that enhance learning anywhere in and out of the classroom.
Since the time I received the first Kindle Fire I have received an additional grant so we now have four. Having these together we are now able to do many fun activities with small groups. We have discovered a way to enable the camera that is built in. I have had a student use that to create a video for a project.
The biggest benefit of the donation has been the ability to use this technology to focus instruction to the individual student. Thanks to your generosity, we are a little closer to helping our students reach their best potential.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Yardley
