Black and White is Boring!
Funded Apr 7, 2025Thank you so much for funding this project, my students will appreciate it. This will help them make their science fair boards and other assignments brighter and more exciting. They will appreciate being able to use colorful images and not need to wait for me to get it back to them or send it off.”

Funded Oct 25, 2024Thank you for supporting my classroom. The students have loved having new learning logs to take notes in and they are making great use out of the scissors and pencils as well. We start the year off with journals, but generally around this point in the year, many students have filled them up, lost them, or they have been damaged (since they are middle schoolers, things happen). Being able to provide them with fresh logs, helps to ensure that they are staying engaged and don't have a reason to not take notes, or to take notes on a separate sheet of paper where it will get lost. The logs help them to stay organized, and having a new one to start the new year just helps them feel like a real scientist and stay engaged.
Having the scissors has also been incredibly useful, since now every student is able to help when they are doing engineering projects, instead of one person using scissors for the group, while the rest of them watch. They have used them to make helmets for eggs, determine the order species evolved in, and many other projects and they have been excited to have nice scissors that work.”

Data Collection Kit
Funded Sep 8, 2024My students were able to complete many projects with the tools you provided. My 8th grade classes used the stopwatches and clipboard to measure the speed of cars in front of the school and calculate if they were speeding or not. We tied it to past accidents and they came up with solutions for how we could improve the safety of our community, showing them how science can improve everyday life with something that impacts them.
They have also been making use of them for their independent investigation and science fair projects. I have some students timing how long their gliders stay in the air, other students using the clipboard to test the placebo effect by feeding their friends the same cookie with different labels. The tools provided have allowed them to carry out a variety of investigations and collect meaningful data that applies to the real world.”

Alternative Seating (Yoga-na Want to See This)
Funded Feb 19, 2024Thank you for making an impact in my classroom. I work with middle school children who have a hard time sitting still and come from a high-needs demographic area. Many of my students do not care for school, and I try to make it enjoyable for them so that they can develop the same love for learning that I have.
The alternative seating you provided has helped with students who fidget as they are now able to move within their space so that they don't need to disrupt others by getting out of their chairs (or rocking their chairs in an unsafe way since they are middle schoolers haha). It's also created excitement to come to class and work. If they are completing their assignments they have a chance to use a yoga ball and they are constantly trying to be the first one in the door so they can claim them. It's helped to make students a little bit more excited to come to class and even a little change like that can make a huge difference in their futures.
I thank you for your kindness and support and my students are in love with what you have given. I can't thank you enough for making such a difference in their lives.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Tritt
