We are first grade firsties and we are here to learn! We love to learn about our world. We love to learn how letters and words and sentences come together to make ideas. We love to learn how numbers relate together and make patterns to build our number sense. We love to connect our learning from one thing to another. It is more than an a-ha moment. It is an "I can do it!" When we learn, our learning extends to how we understand the world.. We are asking for teachers, our parents, and our caring community to shine on us a little bit of love. Sprinkle the love of learning into our soil. Whisper words of encouragement. And then...watch us grow!!!
