  • Creativity is Vital to Healthy Minds!

    Funded Dec 19, 2024

Art and creativity are so important to developing minds! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donation to my classroom. Your donation of these art supplies have helped them have more opportunities to express themselves! Every student is different and the variety of choices has allowed them to experiment and settle on the best project for them.

Further, your kindness toward strangers has inspired my kiddos to do their own. Your donation will result in many acts of kindness being paid forward in my community.

    Many thanks!”

  • Fidgity Students Need Something to Keep Their Minds Busy!

    Funded Jan 8, 2025

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donation to my classroom. Some of these little learners have a really hard time sitting and focusing on school work, and sometimes need to have something to keep little hands busy and active so their minds can settle into the learning. Your donation of these silent, non-distracting tools have helped! Every student is different and the variety of choices has allowed them to experiment and settle on the best one for them.

  • Help my Classroom Library Be More Culturally Diverse!

    Funded Mar 29, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous contribution to this important project. My students were so excited when the boxes came, and they were absolutely amazed that people were willing to give them something that made their school day better without expecting anything in return. it made a big impression. Your kindness will be paid forward by these little humans for sure.

They dove into the books as soon as they came out of the box, and the sharing and exploring was great to see. Reading these books together spawned many in-depth, kind and compassionate conversations that helped them expand their horizons. Using these books as windows allowed them to peek into the experiences of people different from themselves. This is important work, thank you for being a part of it.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. White

I have set up a Maker's station and the legos are used nearly daily to create, imagine and relax when they have a free moment. Inside recess is also a lot more fun, because there are enough blocks to share and build some amazing things.

    Thank you so much!”

  • Sensory Tools for the Win!

    Funded Nov 23, 2023

Thank you so much for the sensory tools for my students to use! They love being able to choose from the tool basket when they are feeling a little dysregulated or having trouble focusing on their work. Having these silent but engaging tools at the ready has really made a difference in my student's ability to pay attention for longer periods of time and helps them calm down during a stressful time as well. The different designs, shapes and textures make it so everyone has the ability to choose and experiment with what will work for them.”

  • Agriculture in the Classroom

    Funded Dec 29, 2022

Thank you so much for the generous donations of planting supplies and grow lights! The lights fit perfectly on our windowsill so many plants can get the benefits of the full spectrum bulbs. The kids couldn't wait to get things growing, so we took our science time to get things planted and set up right when they arrived. We have been studying the root structures of morning glories and sunflowers with the clear gel soil tubes, and we have baby pumpkins on the way already!

So far, we have planted chives, basil, pumpkins, apple seeds, orange seeds, morning glories, sunflowers, and parsley. Tomatoes, radish and lettuce to come. All of these seedlings will be transplanted into our fabulous school garden in May, to be harvested and used in our school cafeteria as well as the free farm stand for families that we run all summer.

Thank you so much, my students and I really appreciate this opportunity to grow our own food.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. White

  • Creativity and Critical Thinking Through Art

    Funded Sep 9, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation of canvases and paint to our classroom! When the kids saw the boxes being unpacked, they couldn't believe that people who didn't even know them were so generous to buy such beautiful art supplies just for them. We planned what we were going to do, and waitied until after Thanksgiving to complete the project so they could have the option of making their painting into a gift for the holidays if they wanted. The anticipation of this project was part of the fun! The kids loved doing this project so much! We spent the first day working on the background and the second day working on our trees. Both days we had soft music playing and we just let the creativity flow. One student commented afterwards that it felt like she had been to a spa day. Thank you so much for making this possible for my students.”

  • Sensory Toys for Little Hands and Minds

    Funded Nov 8, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous and thoughtful donation of fidgit toys and sensory items to my classroom. When the boxes arrived, it created quite a stir! My students were so excited by the variety and assortment of sensory items that is now available to choose from! If they are having a fidgety sort of day, they know they can go to the bin and choose something soft and squishy or something that moves and bends - whichever one feels best for their growing brains and fingers.

Everyone loved the items, but the best part for me was that they were so amazed and touched that strangers cared enough to buy these things just for them. I heard over and over, how "really nice people who don't even know us spent their money to get these for us." 17 little minds were blown, and I am sure they will be inspired to pass your kindness on to others and keep it going.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. White
