• Jump Rope Ninja! Earn All the Colors

• Hula Hoops Galore!!

  Thank you to all who donated. There are so many activities I can do with my students that involve these hula hoops. one of my favorite is teaching them how to use 6 hoops to make a free-standing structure I call a hula hut. The students have to work together and try to figure out how to build it first without any direction. It is always interesting to watch how the students work together and the ideas they come up with. In the pictures you can see some students trying to build the hut and in some, you can see the students trying to see how many students they can fit in the hut before it falls.

  this is just one of the many ways these hula hoops are going to help my program.”

• 4. Cornhole for All

  Thank you for your donations with the money you donated I was able to purchase 8 corn hole sets for my school and they loved them. They came just in time because I had been working on an underhand tossing unit and that is exactly the skill needed to play the game of cornhole. I treated a nice rules sheet and Scoreboard that I laminated so it can be used with a dry-erase board as a scoring sheet.

  the students enjoyed the challenge of the game and also the complexity of keeping track of the scoring since it has a unique type of scoring. if one person scores 5 points and the other scores 3 then the team that one gets 2 points because that was the difference in the score. Its called Delta scoring.

• You Can Dodge a Wrench, You Can Dodge a Ball.

  Thank you to all of you who donated to this project with out your help none of this would be possible. the "If You Can Dodge a Reach You Can Dodge a Ball" project was mainly to provide a variety of balls that I could use to facilitate a wide array of activities with safe equipment. We have played a dodgeball adjacent game called GAGA ball which the kids need to run around and dodge balls that are hit on the ground trying to hit them below the knee. The game works on hand-eye coordination as well as speed and reaction time.

  We also use the balls in a wide variety of throwing and catching games and target-based games where they work on throwing with their dominant hand and stepping with their opposite foot to hit down a bowling pin or other object.

  I also used the bags to help organize my equipment closet. it makes things so much quicker and easier during transitions.”

• The Sound of Music - in the Gymnasium

  Thank you again for helping fund my Donors Choose project. Unfortunately I don't have many pictures to show you of these items and use because I didn't on medical leave for the last two months. Before I hurt myself though I would use the wireless microphone every day with every class. The wireless microphone help me greatly, Before I got it I would find my voice and throat straining every week come Thursday. Now I don't have to project my voices as loud and let the mike and speaker do the work for me. It is see if my voice I need it easier for all my students in a large gymnasium hear me clearly.

  When I come back I plan to use the portable speaker whenever I take the students outside or have to hold physical education in the classroom. I look forward being able Bring the music with me when I go into the classrooms.

• Filling in the Holes!

  Thank you very much for donating to my classroom. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of this equipment in action because I am been on medical leave for the last two months. That doesn't mean I wasn't using them before I got hurt.

  The students love the foam dice. During warm-ups I let children roll the dice to see which movement we will be doing around the gym. The kid love to roll the dice and every other kid right after it to see which animal and movement Will end up faceup. I have also used the agility ladders and the agility circles to make a little warm up obstacle course at the beginning of class some days.

  I don't have a picture of the wit of the wagon but I will pull one from Internet. I'll use this wagon often to transport Materials from the main building to the other Annex where I teach kindergarten first and second grade. It has made bringing equipment back-and-forth much easier. Lastly I have not put up any of the posters because of my injury but they will go up before the kids come back from Christmas break.

• Bean Bag Bonanza

  Thank you so much for helping fund my project. When I showed the students all the bright and clean new bean bags they were excited. Especially because our old bean bags are very beat up and dirty. I play many games involving bean bags and they will get lots of use.

  Unfortunately I broke my ankle and have been am leave for the last two months so I do not have many photos of the equipment in use.

  The vinyl floor tape was used to Create floor spots which also helps organize the kids into teams based on color or shape. This is a great tool to help me manage my classroom. When I get back in December I have other ideas for the tape.
