Without a place to let art dry there is limited possibility to store or hang art. When art is protected it gives student's opportunities to look back at their art and reflect. They get a chance to see growth. Reflection allows for higher level thinking. "A 2002 report by the Arts Education Partnership revealed that schoolchildren exposed to drama, music and dance are often more proficient at reading, writing, and math." The goal in art is not to get students to paint like Picasso but rather to help them have higher levels of understanding about thinking and the world around them.
