Like many teachers, I purchased many supplies prior to the start of the school year. I thought I would have enough for the entire year. Because I am new to my school district, I did not realize the financial need of my students, and I had no idea we would go through my supplies so quickly. My students come from a variety of backgrounds, but many are from low-income families. It is essential that these students have alternative ways to take and organize their notes and alternative ways to demonstrate their learning. I enjoy using Project Based Learning in my English class as often as possible. This includes using Interactive Notebooks and MultiGenre Projects.
