  • Math Games

    Funded Jan 15, 2025

My students were so excited to hear that I was thinking of ways to practice math through games. They were especially excited to see the seat cushions that can be used for both chair as well as floor activities.

I explained the donors choose process and my students were touched to think that there are people in the world who are concerned about how they learn, and are willing to give monitarily so that we can have fun doing so.

It was important to build self confidence in my classroom so as I prepared to let them play, I took a small group of students aside and taught them how to play each game. Then, we broke into groups and I instructed my leaders to then teach the other students how to play. We enjoyed this time so much, we did not want to stop to go to recess.

Thanks so much for all you have done to create a fun moment in our learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. S.

  • Exploring Science Using Visual Arts

    Funded Jan 21, 2022

My students and I are so grateful for the generous donation that allowed me to purchase supplies that will help them learn.

When I told my students that the grant had been fulfilled, they were elated. It was a great opportunity for me to express my gratitude for the goodness that people exhibit. I stressed the importance of paying it forward. My students now have a personal experience to share with others and reap the benefits of good people.

I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to use the science supplies to help teach our new science core. I now have several scales that will help with our experiments as we study conservation of matter. Other supplies that will help teach science concepts are magnifying glasses, mixing cups with measurements printed on the outside, beakers and measurement containers, and a hydroponics growing system lab.

Thank you again for strengthening teachers' ability to teach!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. S.

  • Technology...Our Future

    Funded Oct 31, 2018

I want to take the opportunity to express gratitude for your support of my classroom in approving a grant for three new Chromebooks.

This donation will benefit all of my 28 students this year and students for years to come. This donation is extremely exciting as it completes my classroom set. The Chromebooks will provide opportunities for learning language arts, reading, math, social studies, and science as well as allow me the opportunity to teach the technology skills my students need at this time.

I am so excited to have a one-to-one initiative classroom. Thanks again for contributing to the enrichment of my students.”

  • Chromebooks to Strengthen Writing Skills

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. My students were anxiously awaiting our Chromebook request. Thanks for making teaching that much easier.

I recently attended a technology conference where I learned valuable skills, techniques, and fabulous resources to enhance my teaching of writing. My students are excited to try these new ideas out.

Your donation helps me teach about a community caring about their future; wanting those students to have all they need to learn and have a desire to give back.”

  • Picture Books to Teach Grammar

    Funded Nov 1, 2017

I am so grateful for your willingness to help my students have access to specific picture books that will help them learn grammar fundamentals. I choose a specific sentence from each book that we can study in depth. This helps us gain an understanding about types of speech and how an author puts them altogether.

It was a tender moment when I explained to my students that there are people in the world who care about their learning. Not only that, but they are willing to purchase items for our classroom that will help my students grow.

    Thanks for caring!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. S.

  • Comprehension and Writing

    Funded Mar 29, 2017

Thank you so much for your thoughtful contribution to our classroom!

When I showed and described the new items for our classroom, the students were amazed at the generosity you exhibited even though you do not know us. I am grateful to have the opportunity to show my students that there are good, kind people in the world who care about their education enough to help provide activities and supplies that help them learn in fun and exciting new ways. The Dice in Dice, Writing Prompt Dice, and Reading Comprehension Dice will bring new life to concepts that we need to review for the end of year testing.

    Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. S.

  • Chromebooks to Provide Individual Learning

    Funded Jan 17, 2017

I cannot thank you enough for donating to our classroom technology cause.

With your donation I was able to purchase chromebooks to add to our current supply. Now our classroom has 14 chromebooks. This allows me, as a teacher, to assign half of my classroom to work on an assignment that works with technology at one time. Our school has two computer labs, but with over 800 students, the labs are being used a great deal. The chromebooks make it easy to bring technology to my classroom and to each student in a more personal way.

A new excitement has come over my students as they have the opportunity to explore new websites and projects that are more enriching and challenging! Thanks for your donation!”

  • My Individual Tutor

    Funded Oct 10, 2016

    Dear Donors:

I want to take a moment and let you know of the great impact you have created as you have provided our classroom with Math Sharks.

Math Sharks are an electronic device that helps students learn and practice their math facts. Last year my students struggled all year to pass of their multiplication facts. This year, with the help of the Math Sharks, my students have increased their memorization skills and are already surpassing those benchmarks of last year. It is an incredible strategy for a teacher to have enough devices for all students to use at the same time. Each day after lunch our procedure is to practice facts on Math Shark for 5 minutes, then take a time test. I am amazed at the progress my students have made!

These devices provide an opportunity for students to work on their individual level, to keep focused, and to do this independently - without an adult prompting them to keep going. I have noticed that the celebratory noises that come from these devices push the students to do their best.

Those students who struggle with time sensitive issues are put at ease as the Math Shark will allow them to go at their own pace which encourages persistence and instills confidence .

Thanks so much for this wonderful gift!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. S.

Large classroom sizes make individual attention difficult and this year is no different. Students learning multiplication tables in third grade and need positive feedback as well as encouragement. My vision is to provide each student with a math fact game that will allow them to practice the multiplication level they are working on at a moments notice. These devices will strengthen students' math abilities with addition and subtraction facts as well. Third grade is a critical time for students to grasp and master their math facts. Those who are unable to do so will find that math will become a difficult and undesirable subject.
