When I work, I want to be comfortable and sometimes it is not at a regular desk. The new furniture will provide the students with a different option besides a hard chair. Yoga balls and wobble seats were a crowd favorite, however, we are short on those resources. We will use our foldable storage cubes for the students to have a space to store their belongings instead of inside desks!! With your help, we can make the classroom community stronger by giving students the comfort and choice they need to be successful! Many students also have attention problems, and change seating can eliminate the behavior issues that may arise. This also gives students the power of choice in where they like to work and how to give their best outcome in learning. Students will also be able to pull the chairs together as they are reading and discussing for better classroom collaboration. This past year I implemented some flexible seating and I saw big results in desire to work and excitement in the classroom. I would love to see this enthusiasm grow strong in this coming next year!
