  • Restock Our Shelves 2020

    Funded Nov 16, 2020

This project is simply fantastic. When I emailed out to the staff that there was two boxes of snacks for them to keep in their classrooms to give to students in need, they could not believe it. The emails of thanks rolled in. Our students were so excited on that first day too!

We are also overjoyed to supplement our backpack program with more food bags every other week.

Thank you so much for giving to our students who are most in need and supporting our school in one its very important programs. We appreciate you so very much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Melissa Smith

  • Snow Exciting!

    Funded Dec 29, 2020

Sled day is our students favorite day! Our students look forward to it each week. The additional sleds and snow toys are well loved. Currently our students are in zones on the playground and they love building forts. It's fun to see students in other classrooms play with the creations built the day before by the other classes.

Thank you for supporting our classroom in such unique ways. Recess is some of the best time of the day and our students grow in relationship with one another and problem-solving. We appreciate you making this time that much more enjoyable. Winter will continue in our rural community for at least another two months, so this equipment will get so much more playtime!”

    With gratitude,

  • "Lego" of my LEGO

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you so much for supporting our classroom through your donation. These Legos will create amazing green screen stories in the months to come. They have already been some of the first choices for MakerSpace. The larger Duplos are also perfect for my students that have a harder time gripping the smaller Legos.

Some were skeptical of Duplos in an older classroom, but they are so very perfect. We can't wait to start the countdown to our next school event using the calendar. Thank you for always supporting our classroom and our next adventures. You are a blessing in so many ways!”

  • LOVE Through Glass 2020

    Funded Nov 25, 2020

Thank you once again for making sure this project came to life. This is one of our students' favorite projects of the year. It is such a blessing to our students to be able to create these masterpieces each year. Our parents loved the uniqueness of each plate. This is a gift that will glimmer on many holiday tables for years to come.

Honestly, I would love to modge podge more times a year because it is so great for hand eye coordination and creative planning. If you could be a fly on the wall during this project you would be filled with the excitement they have while they create. Thank you for investing in memories to come!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Melissa Smith

  • LOVE Through Glass

    Funded Jan 1, 2020

    276. That's the number of days from our closure date in the spring until we were finally able to have our now fourth grade students do this awesome project. They were so excited that this was not one of the creative projects COVID took away. These plates are treasured each year and once again our students were able to create unique gifts from the heart.

This project brings such joy to our students because they are able to wrap a present that is just from them for their special loved one. I actually had a daughter in this grade level and I was so thrilled that they still had the opportunity to create this beautiful gift.

So many unique plates from so many unique students. Thank you for always coming through for all our students. We also have enough plates for half of our students for next winter too, which is exciting!”

  • Books That Build Part 2

    Funded May 6, 2020

These books are amazing! We are loving all the adventures we get to go on. Two of the favorites on kindness are I Believe in You and I am Love. They fly off the shelf each week. My students who are really excited about nonfiction books are really enjoying all the new Who was books. I love that they are learning about history in such a fun way!

Thank you for making sure that books are a part of our classroom and that my students have books that are relevant to the times we are living in.

Last week during read to self time one of my students asked what the rocking chair in the classroom was for. Due to COVID we don't get to move around the room as much as we usually do. I realized I hadn't unlocked the comfort of books. That changed! My students now find a very comfy spot during read to self and it shows in how connected to their books they are and how excited they are to read.

Thank you for inspiring and bringing even more joy to our classroom. Thank you for your support of reading in my classroom.”

  • Smith Sweet Class

    Funded Nov 15, 2020

This project has been absolutely phenomenal. For two weeks leading up to winter break we were able to be in person. The bins allowed us to better organize our materials and keep our counters clear, which was perfect while we worked on our parent gifts and holiday crafts! We needed all the extra space. Students loved having their one space to put all their materials, pencil cans, science experiments, books, and more. Our materials are no longer getting lost or mixed up!

The book bags organized our math station games and made our stations even more easy to use. It gave us more time to focus on actually doing the activity!

The sit spots have marked important spots around our classroom. They have brought simple reminders to our day. We love what the sayings remind us of every time we step on them! We were even able to share them with two other classrooms and spread the joy and motivation!

Thank you for your investment in our classroom and my students. I can't wait to be back in person with them next week and continue our learning adventure. #SmithTweetTales #SpoonerProud”

  • Making Memories in 2020

    Funded Sep 30, 2020

My eyes are filling with tears as I write this thank you note. Thank you for investing in my classroom family. I have loved every moment I have gotten to have in person with my students. While it has been anything, but easy, it has been so very special.

The memories we have made will get us through every challenge we face. COVID has changed so much about school, but it has not stopped us from building relationships and growing with each other. On Friday I said, "I love you," as my students left and I truly do mean it. They are now apart of my heart and I am invested in their life.

Thank you for joining me and making that difference right alongside me. The photos have filled our walls and the printer is constantly going. Thank you for bringing this into our classroom. The reusable dry erase sticky notes give me a glimpse into their daily feelings and I'll need to find a way to do this digitally if we need to ever go virtual.

Thank you for continuing to invest in the future that is in my classroom today. I will forever be grateful.”

  • Books That Build Part 2

    Funded Oct 23, 2020

You have done it again. Again you have filled our shelf with books that my students have fallen in love with. I love seeing the new pages getting opened for the first time. Thank you for giving us even more books to learn and grow from.

The magnetic bookshelf happily displays our character trait books of the month. It's perfect for reminding us to read them each week and learn more about our character trait.

Friday was World Kindness day and my students were able to create beautiful kindness rocks with the paint markers. They were so easy to use and will definitely come in handy for future projects!

Lastly our Flashlight Fridays have been a huge hit and I am so glad I finally have enough batteries to use all the flashlights we have!

Thank you for again investing in my students and classroom and making our classroom a home away from home!”

  • All Smiles in Third Grade, Class of 2030!

    Funded May 28, 2020

Thank you for making sure our students had all the materials we needed to start the year. It was such a nice surprise to so many families to have so many items off the list and to just focus on other needs at back to school time.

My students are busy writing amazing stories in their notebooks with their wonderfully sharpened pencils. I love seeing them put their imagination down on paper. I have a very creative group of students.

The dry erase markers are amazing for working during math and learning all we need to learn. The erasers fit perfectly into our pencil cans and make learning and making mistakes easy!

Thank you for all you do for my classroom and so many classrooms. I appreciate every gift and you are making a difference every day!”
