  • We Are Makers

    Funded Nov 23, 2021

This project has absolutely changed how we can create and design in our classroom. Each week we printed 10-20 student created projects in a variety of styles and colors. Students are hoping for more colors in the future to keep creating. You have allowed me to open up 3D printing to my 7th grade students.

During Fab Lab students design as they would like and print their projects. During 7th grade STEM class students create and design and print as they finish other projects. This semester students designed projects that showcase making good choices. Thank you for making my classroom much more design focused. It is also is so amazing to have an online portal that students can print to. It makes printing that much more easy.

We are grateful and your impact will be felt for years to come. I can't wait to see what future STEM careers your gift inspires.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Melissa Smith

  • Set Us Up in STEM

    Funded Jul 5, 2021

Thank you so much for partnering with my classroom and making sure we have these materials. The lamination is used often as we make new name tags for our robot bins, add posters around school and design new expectations for our classroom.

The black command strips were very helpful in hanging classroom posters and STEM careers in the classroom. These items brighten our space.

The construction paper is a huge blessing as we use it for the many STEM challenges and exploration in our classroom.

I am thankful to have people like you that care so very much about our classrooms.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Melissa Smith

  • Grow the STEM First

    Funded Jul 21, 2021

Thank you so much for blessing our classroom with these items. It makes our classroom run that much smoother when we have all the materials that we need. The construction paper is wonderful during our many STEM challenges in fifth grade and during our obstacle course building in my robotics classes.

The hot glue guns are very helpful as we build our different designs for our obstacle course. Students come to borrow them on many different occasions as well for their science classes.

The masking tape has many different uses in STEM challenges, obstacle course building, and hanging the many different Kindness Club events and challenges around school. Thank you for making sure we had all these materials. You are making such an amazing impact on so many students and their futures!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Melissa Smith

  • Refill the Room in Spring, Part 2

    Funded May 4, 2021

The transition from the elementary school to the middle school was filled with so much change and lots of discovering needs and transitioning my classroom to a different sort of space. I love teaching STEM and all that my course topics have to give to my students. I am really excited about the program and the future. Thank you for partnering with me to make sure my classroom was set up just as it should be. The scissors, headphones, post its, duct tape, and containers are used on a daily basis. The calendar is perfect for my students as they fill out their challenges. The locks will be used in a few weeks at our STEAM night and I can't wait. My students have been asking about them since I set them out and changed the codes. I so appreciate people like you caring about my students so much!”

  • We Are the RAILS!

    Funded Oct 4, 2021

This project is absolutely phenomenal. It has brought such pride for our school and brings a smile to everyone's face when they arrive at SMS. With these cups we were able to add a logo and RAILS to our front fence, a heart with RAILS on our back fence and a RAILS at our HS football/soccer field.

It was exciting to watch students create the logo and create the designs. I am sure that as they go on in their school journey they will remember what they did and talk about their impact on their school and community. Thank you for partnering with us to make sure this project came to life.

When our new office is built, we are hoping to add another logo and RAILS to that front entrance too. #SpoonerProud”

  • We Create and Design

    Funded Oct 25, 2021

This project was simply amazing. We missed over five weeks of in-person learning while our school was closed down. We came back two days before winter break and then back again on January 3rd.

This second Cricut and supplies allowed me to get all students their printed projects by January 3rd. They were then able to get them ready to go and hung up around the school. It has immediately brightened up our school. I was worried we'd run out of time, but by having this second machine, we could get things completed and ready to go in half the time.

Thank you for partnering up with our STEM classroom! I can't wait for you to see their designs. I am even more excited to continue more t-shirt designing, and wall design with them in the new quarter. Your donations continue to spark creativity and hard-work!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Melissa Smith

  • Just a Splash of Polka Dot

    Funded Aug 13, 2021

New teacher, new school, new routine. Some may know what it feels like to be the new kid at a new school with all new routines. That's how I felt, but was welcomed with open arms. My new job required new resources and new organization and a new set up. You provided exactly what I needed to start the year off right.

The polka dot bins keep us organized with our new resources, and the tape allowed me to put new whiteboard vinyl down on some of four desks.

The Kleenex and wipes are so helpful on a daily basis.

Thank you for investing in our classroom and ensuring students could come to a place that they felt comfortable to learn in. I so appreciate every gift.”

  • Refill the Room in Spring

    Funded Apr 8, 2021

Thank you for helping this project come to life. When I transitioned to the middle school I wasn't quite sure what to expect and how much of my past projects I would be able to use, but all the materials have been absolute blessings. My STEM classes have been able to design, build, and create with so many of the materials I got for different purposes in my 3rd grade classroom. Thank you for making this transition so much easier and allowing me to meet the needs of my middle school students.

The timers have been such a blessing in our many STEM challenges in 5th grade. They are so creative. I can't wait to see all these students accomplish in their lives. The vinyl is used daily in my 8th grade pre-engineering design class. I'm so thankful they can design and print as much as they'd like.

Thank you for investing in my students and their future. #SpoonerProud”

  • Books That Build in 2021

    Funded Feb 11, 2021

It is amazing what new books will do in a classroom. This past spring my students loved opening each box and seeing what new titles had arrived. Thank you for inspiring my students to love reading. Their favorites were Shel Silverstein's poem books. They also loved the magnetic bookmarks. You refilled our bookshelves with books they might not otherwise get to read and for that I am grateful.

This fall these books will be again ready for students to pick up and enjoy. Thank you for making sure we have exciting books to read.”

  • Books That Build in 2021 and Beyond

    Funded Mar 17, 2021

Thank you so much for bringing these amazing books to our classroom. My middle school classroom is all set up and many of these books are on display for my students to pick up right away. I am so grateful that this project was funded last year so that my students will be able to start reading them right away. As a STEM teacher you might not see how reading and books fit in, but I'm excited to give my students time to read STEM books and more throughout our time together. I appreciate every donations.”
