  • Smith STEM 2024

    Funded May 7, 2024

This is so very exciting! Thank you for caring so much about our classroom and my students. This project will so many needs to currently have in our classroom and will also fill needs we will have right away in the fall. My students are really creating some awesome designs and projects in Fab Lab and MakerSpace so this will be exactly what we need.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Melissa Smith

  • Fab Lab in STEM Tech. Ed.

    Funded May 7, 2024

I am so grateful for how you have invested in my classroom. This project was a favorite this year and I am sure my students next year are going to enjoy it just as much. The amount of learning that happens within these two weeks is amazing. Thank you for providing this opportunity.”

  • STEM Students Create and Design

    Funded Oct 4, 2022

It is amazing how some tack strips can improve the way we can organize student work. Thank you for helping me ensure that student work can be hung up in the halls and rotated frequently.

My students LOVE creating jewelry and keychains. They are also super creative with the hot glue guns. My 8th grade students are finishing up their cardboard creations and have created many unique buildings and monuments. Thank you for making sure we had enough hot glue guns and sticks.

3D printing happens in 7th and 8th grade now and the tools you have given are essential in making every design come out just as the students had designed.

Thank you for your investment in my classroom and the future of my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Melissa Smith

  • Create With Ozobots

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

The Ozobot unit is one of the most favorite units of our 5th grade students favorite untis. The crazy designs they create show creativity and excitement for STEM. The extra kits have been wonderful in making sure all students are able to test out the Ozobots and the groups can be smaller. This quarter I had students create their names and had the Ozobots follow their name. It was fun to watch the Ozobots travel the different unique paths. Thank you for giving them this opportunity! Trying different STEM activities are so important.”

  • Fab Lab and Beyond

    Funded Apr 15, 2024

What an amazing Monday! I can't believe my project was posted and funded within hours. I wrote this project in honor of Francie Kugelman, a teacher friend who passed away this month. She was always pushing us to do as much hands-on as we could! Your gift means the world to me and will greatly help my students and their future projects. Thank you for caring so much about my students and classroom.”

  • We Are Makers Again

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

I am so thankful for all the possibilities my students can create with the materials from this project.

What a difference a working green screen, cart, and Chromebook stand will do to the quality of our green screen videos. Students in semester one loved having all these materials to create their videos. Having a full length green screen background is so important. This week my students will again start creating their videos and these materials will be important!

Along with video editing, both my seventh and eighth grade students worked on 3D printing this year. All the additional materials have allowed all students to create 3D keychains. In the years to come I will now be able to allow my in the eighth grade to design their personal logo. I can't wait for this possibility!

Thank you for your generosity. We are blessed.”

  • We Create and Design Part 3

    Funded May 14, 2022

Thank you so much for investing in my students in this way. Over the past few weeks my students have been creating vinyl projects for themselves as well as our school. This past week one student designed a t-shirt for a special project and helped me cut it, weed it, and apply it to his t-shirts. They look so great and I am so proud of him for trying it! Having all these vinyl options has really improved all the different projects that my students can create and I am so thankful to have all the right tools and materials.”

  • STEM in Fab Lab

    Funded Jan 12, 2024

These woodworking projects have inspired me to want to provide more and more opportunities like this for my students to create using tools and materials that they need to really dig deep and learn more about. Together in pairs or small groups the students created beautiful birdhouses and bat houses. The bee houses will be used later. They are excited to paint their creations in the coming weeks.

Thank you for investing in my students and in our Fab Lab. You have excited many of them and their future of woodworking looks bright!”

  • Spike Prime and Beyond

    Funded Jan 5, 2024

These additional Spike Prime robots were absolutely needed as soon as my Quarter 3 students walked through my classroom doors. We needed the kits to make sure all students had their own kit. This quarter the additional kits are allowing me to leave a few robots from last quarter all together to show my Quarter 4 students. They loved seeing the designs.

These Lego robot kits are wonderful for problem-solving, designing, and really pushing students to think beyond the build instructions. My robotic students are some of the most innovative and I am excited for each new build students build. We are so thankful for your gifts to our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Melissa Smith

  • Just Hang It Up!

    Funded May 23, 2023

This project has been amazing. I am now able to quickly print and hang up student work in our hallway. Right now my 7th grade memes are on display, as well as our 5th grade career posters. The displays look organized and are easy to add to and also switch out.

Thank you for ensuring I can display student work. They are always so excited when they see the new work, out on display. The duct tape has also come in handy in my 5th grade STEM classroom where we are creating and making for STEM challenges. We are thankful to have generous donors like you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Melissa Smith
