Teaching special education, I know many of my students have problems focusing. The exercise balls would help them with fidgets and control their focus. I have done a study with students using exercise balls and it increased their test scores. The students sitting on the ball would force them to balance the ball with their toes and sit up straight at all times. Imagine sitting in a hard plastic chair all day long! Those are not meant to be conducive for a learning environment. It becomes a bigger challenge when a student has a disability that allows them to be distracted easily. I want my students to succeed and find tools to become successful individuals of society. I want them to feel confident in their work. Please help my kiddos just simply focus!
