  • Live Breakout Rooms

    Funded Jan 27, 2022

We want to thank you so much for your generosity. The Various whiteboards became crucial to projects, collaborative work, and allowing separation of areas of the rooms to really allow more focused work time. We even had several drawings: )

It was also very nice for the double sides so that different classes could work without erasing another class's work and allowed for continuity throughout the entirety of the units.

We truly appreciate the valuable tool you gave us in order to be successful in our learning this year!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Roundy

  • Lights, Camera, Action!

    Funded Mar 26, 2014

Thank you so very much for the donation for us to purchase a video camera. My students have already used it, even with only a few months left of the year when we received it. The students have enjoyed the ability to easily film, download and edit projects, take pictures of our shows, film our shows, and tonight they even used the camera passing it around at the awards ceremony.

My English Students used the camera for a novel project where they had to creatively portray the theme of the book, interview characters, make a movie trailer, etc. They also had TED talks for their finals in my class, which we used to film some of them prior to presentation and also film the presentations as they went as well. We are excited to continue to have this usage as we move into future years in many other projects such as PSA's and other novel projects.

With this camera the students found a new engagement with the text, and were able to see real world connections through a medium they are familiar with. It also allowed them to reconnect and go back to the text to create with the camera their projects. This gave them the deeper understanding and analysis, as well as other wonderful skills in working with a group that is vital in enhancing their learning in today's world.

Again, thank you so much for your donation and generosity...it is truly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Roundy

  • Annotation Station

    Funded Jan 31, 2014

I want to sincerely thank you for the donation of this Document camera to our classroom. With the document camera we have accomplished many things that have enhanced my teaching and the students' learning.

First, the students were able to use the camera to display their projects to the class as a whole and explain them. We did a project where they created graphic novels or magazines of the mythology worlds and gods. It was great to be able to use the camera to display these with the entire class at the same time rather than just passing it around.

The students have also really appreciated the fact that I could explain and work through annotations, explanations, outlines, etc with a text in real time, record it, and then post it Ondine for them to access it later for review or help. While doing annotations and instructions, it allowed me the ability to help them see, hear and follow along and then follow up in an interactive way that reaches this generation.

This will be used for years to come and I truly appreciate the access to technology you have given us.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Roundy

  • Filmed Book Reports

    Funded Jan 6, 2012

It is with much gratitude and appreciation that I write to thank you for the donation of Cameras to our classroom. My students have been able to use them to film book reports in English, news broadcasts and commercials for speech/debate, and drama projects for review and performance. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the ability to go beyond the norm and stretch themselves and discover literature all over again and be able to share it with others. The doors that have opened to them are now boundless, and it definitely allowed those who struggle or fall behind to break out of their shells, while challenging and inspiring my more advanced learners. You will never know the power you have given them.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Roundy

  • Forensics Supply Closet

    Funded Aug 22, 2008

I am sincerely grateful for the materials and support you are providing our budding program. You will be pleased to note that our first year class has already enrolled more than expected--nearly 30 students in the class alone! We are planning on more to join us in competitions and many of my English class students will get the opportunity to use the materials as we explore debate in those classes as well.

I am sure with these supplies our class will be more successful and will feel the good nature and support you have shown us when competing, giving them more confidence.

    Thank you so much!
