• Pirate Treasure

  Thank you for helping me have the rewards my students love! I have a PBIS store in my classroom where students can purchase items using points they earn for following our GRIT expectations.

  The kids were thrilled with the new options of fidget toys and the special pencils and erasers. Having a variety of options based on what they enjoy keeps them interested in our treasure. Students can earn points in many ways, including being kind to others, doing their best, being responsible and showing integrity. They get bonus points for things such as student of the week or other specific goals. The ability to motivate all students is important for a positive learning environment, these items are a hit. Thank you for supporting my students.”

• Seating for Success!

  I am so grateful to donors like you! My students tend to need movement and choice of learning environment and these stools are perfect! We have a rotating schedule for preferred seats, it is amazing watching them focus because they can wiggle while they work.

  One of my taller students tried the new seat out and said "it's like tipping in your chair without distracting others!" My other stools were not comfortable for him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me show my class the impact of kindness!”

• Focused on Learning!

  Thank you so much for supporting my students! These headphones are very comfortable and the kids love them. Many of my students had the inexpensive uncomfortable headphones that distracted them from learning. Now they can focus on work and not feel singled out because they are using the teacher's headphones.

  Each one of my students has a pair of these to use at school. They are numbered so they know which pair is theirs. If they already have headphones they like their pair goes in the "if needed" cabinet so they can use them if they forget theirs or students who come to our classroom but aren't in our homeroom can borrow them. It works well and no one feels left out.

• Our Books New Home

  Funded Aug 14, 2024

  We are so excited to have a place for our books! My students wanted to help me find the best place to put these bookcases, "so we can enjoy all the titles". I love that they have taken ownership in our space and all want to read.

  I have a reading carpet and some comfy floor seats for kids to sit and read. Many of my students choose to read a book during independent time and even free time. Being in a new school this year is already exciting, having my students love books as much as I do makes it even more special.

• The Write Stuff!

  Funded May 23, 2024

  Thank you for helping me provide my students with these writing tools. They love being allowed to use pens in their writing. We started our writing journals and students are enjoying marking their text with the different colors to show supporting details etc. It makes me happy seeing them interact with their writing and seeing where they can grow.

  We will be having some fun prompts over the year and I am going to have them keep everything in their folder so they can see the progress over the year. Having a place to look back and see how much improvement they have made is priceless. I am grateful to you for your support.”

  The kids were so excited I had water bottle stickers, fidgets, candy and slime. Having a variety of options keeps students from losing interest in rewards. Students can earn points in many ways, including being kind to others, doing their best, being responsible and showing integrity. The ability to motivate all students is important for a positive learning environment.”

• Focused on Learning!

  These headphones are so helpful to have during testing. Many of our original sets are damaged due to use and students sharing. With these new headphones, students have a set that stays with them. They are able to focus on their work instead of worrying about hearing their lessons.

  My students are excited to have their own learning tools to use. Students are more successful when given the tools to use, they become more confident knowing they can just focus on their work.

• 5th Grade Spirit

  I am so grateful this project got funded. When the students got to class and saw we had the shirts on their desks they were excited. When they found out they were paid for by the generous donations of others they were ecstatic. Most of them asked if they could go put them on immediately. Many of our students didn't have school spirit shirts before these.

  We hadn't told them which student's design was chosen so they applauded the artist. We will wear these for our field trips, community events and Fridays if they choose to, we are allowed to wear school spirit shirts on Friday. Thank you for helping us make their final year of elementary school special.”

• Highlighting Our Learning

  Funded Aug 25, 2023

  I am incredibly grateful for your support! We use the highlighters for our writing and interacting with text. Students love the ability to use different colors for each task. These also are great for students to use in tasks that require collaboration, each student in the group has their own color.

  My students were excited about the bright paper as well. We use it for our bulletin boards and to showcase our "WOW work". The colors and some fun to our work. We are working on a gratitude board and I can't wait to see how these colors look.
