  • Prize Drop in the Library!

    Funded Mar 25, 2025

Thank you so much for your generosity! My students will be thrilled with the drop down reward game, and we’re looking forward to find many other uses for it as well. We’re very appreciative of your donations because it helps us find new ways to do old things in the library.”

  • TpT Gift Card Saving the Day!

    Funded Sep 27, 2024

Thank you so much for your donations to my Donors Choose project! Although this seems like a project focused on technology, it is actually a project focused on access to resources. That means that, although I haven't yet depleted the gift card for Teachers Pay Teachers, I have already been able to purchase downloadable materials that I'll be able to use for years to come!

In addition, I have more money on the gift card that I can continue to use in the future without having to pay out of my own pocket. Anytime I need a resource and can't find one provided by my school district, I know I'll find something on TpT.

The kids love when a new resource is brought out, whether it's a printable or digital escape room, an interactive slideshow, or a hands-on activity that I can easily print and use for my lessons. Your generosity allows me to find these resources, which I'm forever grateful for!”

  • Teachers Pay Teachers Gift Card!

    Funded May 7, 2024

Thank you so much for your generosity in your donations to my Teachers Pay Teachers project!! When I made this project, it was done so that I could purchase various resources for MANY different projects on TpT. These resources are digital, so I can use them again and again. Some of them are decor to brighten up the space, some are lessons I can use, and some are helping me and my aide run the library behind the scenes to make our class more efficient for the kids.

By donating to this TpT gift card, it's given me the flexibility to purchase what I need online, when I need it, and have it forever. No matter what other budgetary constraints I have, this TpT card lets me purchase exactly the resources my students need at the right time.

Thank you again for your kindness and generosity with this project. It's so very appreciated!!”

    Mrs. Rittenhouse

  • Updating the Library

    Funded Nov 29, 2023

Thank you so much for the new materials you helped me purchase for our library! So many of the items seem boring to the average person, but they have helped me run the library SO much!

When different kids walked in for the each time and saw the new acrylic holder I'd purchased for the bookmarks, it was immediate comments of, "It's so much easier to find the bookmark I want!" When they saw the new holder for book character stuffies, they were excited because it meant we could keep more stuffies out and ready to use now that we had more space for them. And I led my younger students through lessons on fiction stories, then they used the take-along tabletop cases to create their own incredibly creative stories with their classmates. We now have an official name: "Storytelling Centers" and they are the biggest hit of all.

Amidst all the fun, visible stuff were the materials that kids couldn't see but were just as vital, like the cardstock, sign holders, and acrylic boxes that I use to keep all the things organized. Thank you again for your generosity! It has made a huge difference!”

    With gratitude,

  • Reading With Friends!

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity! My students were so excited when they saw that we had some new additions to make the library more cozy. The stools have come in very handy as the kids want to spread out around the library. They love being able to have different seating options, and I love that they don't take up much space. Win-win!

In addition to the seating choices, we are also thrilled to have even more book buddies! The book character stuffies are a huge hit. The kids love to play with them, read with them, talk to them, etc. I've even use them in lessons and read alouds to make my teaching more engaging.

I'm so grateful your donations that have helped make our library a fun space to be. Thank you again!!”

  • Learning to Stay Safe Online!

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

As a librarian, I teach my students about literature and research. But I also teach them how to navigate the online world safely and responsibly. So many of my students spend hours online each day. Just like most things, I love to teach valuable life lessons with the help of books.

The books you helped me purchase are all related to digital citizenship. First, I read the books to my students and it spurred on some amazing discussion. Many students shared experiences directly related to the topics in the books (cyberbullying, password stealing, etc). Through these discussions and some follow-up activities, the kids learned some vital life skills about navigating the online world.

Thanks to you, the books helped make sense of some overwhelming topics. They helped my students understand what it means to be a digital citizen by connecting with the characters and diving deep into analyzing the themes. Thank you so much for helping provide my students with such valuable insight!!”

  • Read With Book Buddies!

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

Thank you so much for your donations towards my Book Buddy reading project! I keep the stuffed book characters in a bin in the corner, and during reading time, the kids can go grab one if they want to enjoy cozy reading time with a character.

They were SO excited when I showed them our new stuffies. It makes reading even more enjoyable because they love to find books with those same characters.

I've even started using the stuffies in my lessons, like when I'm showing how characters interact, or when I ask the students (especially the younger ones) to create their own stories.

Thank you for your generosity in helping me get these book buddy stuffies - it really has helped add one more level of engagement during reading time. We're so appreciative!”

  • Resources From Teachers Pay Teachers!

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation toward my ability to purchase Teachers Pay Teachers resources. One way I love to use the items I purchase on TpT is to find something engaging and interactive. Although there are a lot of worksheets available, I love any items that can be used to engage my students in learning. I have found board game templates, breakout rooms, task cards, and movement activities. I also love that I can find resources from other librarians. Since I'm the only librarian at my school, I can't share resources as easily as colleagues who teach the same content. TpT comes into play wonderfully in that way, allowing me to "collaborate" and learn from colleagues around the country who have shared resources. The students love when I show them a new game or activity we have, and they especially love the escape room I recently used to celebrate a big event at our school. It was fun and educational, and that's the best I can ask for. Thanks again for your generosity!”

  • Legos & Learning

    Funded May 7, 2022

Thank you SO much for the Legos you contributed to our class! We have already used them so many different ways. The students obviously just really enjoy using Legos for fun, as a way to build anything they can imagine. As a teacher, I love to utilize them in my instruction, and it always get the kids excited when they see I'm going to have them create characters and a setting with Legos, or when I use the "Lego Counseling" book to help them work through a Social-Emotional Learning lesson through creation with Legos. They have used Legos to show what they've learned about an animal they've researched, and I've had them complete STEM challenges using Legos. And of course, they also earn free choice time as a reward, and Legos are always a hit. I love all the ways these items can and have been used in my room, and I'm so grateful for your donations that allowed it to happen!!”

  • Reading in Style!

    Funded Jan 18, 2022

When we received our new floor chairs, I knew the kids would be so excited! When the first group walked into the library and saw them, it was immediately clear that these would be the most sought-after spots during reading time. Sure enough, we had to come up with sharing rules so that as many kids could use them as possible. After kids check out their books, they can choose their spot to read or talk about books with classmates. Sometimes, the kids even just like to sit there to look out the window at our lovely views in those cozy chairs. No matter the reason, the chairs have added to the welcoming environment in the library, and we are so grateful for your generosity that helped us get them.”
